Student answer (Band 6.5)
Today, many global corporations give their employees chance to live and work abroad for a certain period. In my opinion, this policy can help employees a lot of benefits such as gaining valuable international experiences and career progress, while campanies also get benefit from a highly skilled workforce and global expansion.
On the one hand, working abroad offers several personal and professional benefits for staff members. Firstly, living in another country helps employees improve their foreign languages skills and learning how to adapt to different working cultures. For example, people who live in South East Asia countries can come to Canada for working, during that time, they can significantly improve their English skills and they also can know exactly working style in Canada. It is very useful for their career in the future if they want to accumulate experiences. Moreover, having overseas work experiences ake their CV much stronger, opening up better promotion opportunities in the future. For instance, an IT specialist or project manager who spends a year working at a branch in Canada can learn international business standards and local work culture.
On the other hand, multinational companies also gain major advantages from this strategies. First of all, when employees return, they bring back new ideas, fresh perspectives and effective working method from overseas offices, which improves overall productivities. Additionaly, sending staff abroad helps campanies build strong connection between international branches and attract top talents who love global career opportunities. For example, Canadian company opening a warehouse or office in Vietnam, they can send experienced staff to train local teams, making sure that consistency in work quality and productivity.
In conclusion, the opportunity to work overseas is a win-win situation for both employees and companies. It totally empowers employees to develop their careers and personal life, while helping international companies grow stronger and buidl a diverse workforce.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by explaining why the opportunity to work abroad is beneficial for employees and outlining the advantages it brings to multinational companies. Your position is clear from the introduction and maintained throughout the essay. Ideas are extended with relevant examples, such as IT specialists and project managers working in Canada or companies expanding into Vietnam. While some of the supporting details could be slightly more deeply explored to reach the highest bands, you have fully covered both bullet points of the task with clear development and sufficient explanations.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay demonstrates a clear overall progression and logical organisation. Information is structured into distinct paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs addressing each side of the argument, and a concise conclusion. You make effective use of cohesive devices to guide the reader, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', 'Firstly', and 'Moreover'. However, there are occasional minor lapses in referencing and paragraph cohesion, such as minor spelling or grammatical slip-ups in transitional phrases ('campanies', 'Additionaly'), which place this response firmly at the Band 7 level.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items and collocations such as 'global corporations', 'multinational companies', 'fresh perspectives', and 'diverse workforce'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors ('campanies' instead of companies, 'Additionaly', 'buidl') and some minor word choice inaccuracies, such as 'give their employees chance' instead of 'give their employees a chance'. These lexical errors do not impede communication, allowing you to achieve a solid Band 6.5, which rounds to a Band 6.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, with good attempts at relative clauses, conditional structures, and participial phrases, such as 'people who live in South East Asia countries can come to Canada for working' and 'which improves overall productivities'. However, there are several grammatical errors and awkward phrasings throughout the text, including preposition errors ('come to Canada for working' instead of 'to work'), article omissions ('give their employees chance'), and subject-verb agreement issues. Despite these errors, meaning is rarely obscured, justifying a Band 6 score.
