Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by explaining both why the opportunity is good for employees and what advantages it brings to companies. The writer presents clear ideas regarding personal growth, career advancement, and corporate benefits like talent retention and knowledge transfer. However, some ideas are slightly repetitive or under-developed. For instance, the introduction contains a slightly confusing sentence structure ("many multinational companies allows their employees to live and work with their parent company in abroad"), and the conclusion drifts slightly into general statements rather than strongly summarising the body paragraphs. Nonetheless, the core requirements of the task are met, warranting a solid Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay is generally coherent with a recognisable overall arrangement. Paragraphing is utilised to separate distinct points, moving logically from an introduction to employee benefits, company advantages, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are employed, such as "To commence with", "In addition to this", and "Firstly", although some transitional phrases feel mechanical or are used slightly inaccurately (e.g., "Although, there is multicultural environment"). Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the links between sentences can feel abrupt at times. Overall, the organizational structure meets the criteria for Band 6.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

The student displays an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as "globalised economy", "intercultural collaboration", and "leadership pipeline". However, there are noticeable word-choice and collocation errors throughout the text, such as "with their parent company in abroad" instead of "abroad", "broden horizons" (spelling and form), and "built a leadership pipeline" instead of "build". While these errors occur frequently, they do not severely impede overall communication. This performance aligns well with the Band 6.0 descriptors for lexical resource.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some ambition in sentence structures (e.g., relative clauses and conditional-style phrasing like "if profit margins of company increase, in return salaries tend to upgrade"). However, there are frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, such as subject-verb agreement issues ("multinational companies allows"), missing articles ("a multicultural environment"), and incorrect prepositions. Punctuation is also occasionally faulty. These errors occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader, but meaning can still be discerned, placing the grammar at a Band 5.5 level.
