Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the task by discussing the benefits for employees, such as international exposure and enhanced CVs, and the advantages for companies, including improved market knowledge and better performance. A clear position is maintained throughout the essay. However, ideas could have been extended with more varied examples rather than relying repeatedly on Pakistan. Additionally, the length requirement is not met, as the text contains 241 words, falling nine words short of the 250-word minimum. This minor under-length impacts the full development of the ideas and requires a slight penalty.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay is coherent overall with a clear logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately, with each body paragraph focusing on a distinct aspect of the prompt: benefits to employees followed by advantages to companies. Cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' are employed to connect ideas, though some referencing and transitional phrasing are a bit mechanical or repetitive. Overall, the organizational structure is easy to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including appropriate terms like 'multinational corporations', 'international exposure', and 'endeavors'. However, there are notable lexical and spelling errors that detract from precision, such as writing 'in abroad' instead of 'abroad', 'foriegners' instead of 'foreigners', and 'successfull' instead of 'successful'. Collocations are sometimes awkward, such as 'deal with foreign clients on a daily basis' which is acceptable, but phrases like 'these all factors enhances' show limitations. The vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as conditional and relative clauses ('When their workers have more knowledge...'). However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are several noticeable errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('People who work... require to deal', 'offer a valuable experience'), incorrect preposition use ('in abroad'), and redundant phrasing ('These all factors enhances'). Despite these errors, the meaning remains comprehensible throughout the response, fitting the Band 6 profile for grammar.
