Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both why the opportunity is good for employees and what advantages it brings to companies. The student presents a clear position and supports ideas with relevant points, such as boosting employee morale and increasing company profitability and loyalty. However, the development of ideas tends to be repetitive, particularly in the body paragraphs where concepts like exploring a country and refreshing the mood are restated multiple times without much extension. For instance, the second paragraph reiterates that working trips help explore nations and improve mood several times. While all parts are addressed and the ideas are generally relevant, the lack of fully extended supporting examples places this at Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, and well-defined body paragraphs separating employee and company benefits. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate ideas. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'Furthermore', but their use is sometimes mechanical or repetitive, as seen with frequent references to 'mood' and 'employees'. Referencing is generally clear, although transitions between sentences occasionally feel abrupt, such as shifting abruptly from job satisfaction to personal requirements without smooth connectors. The progression of ideas is discernible, leading to a logical overall score of 6.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases like 'job satisfaction', 'loyal customers', and 'personal requirements'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, such as 'oppotunity' instead of 'opportunity', 'campany' instead of 'company', 'got' instead of 'gets' or 'receives', and 'inceament' instead of 'increment' or 'increase'. Despite these inaccuracies, the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the intended meaning without severely impeding communication, fitting the Band 5.5 to 6.0 descriptors comfortably at a 5.5 level due to the frequency of basic spelling and lexical slips.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing conditional structures ('If employees are getting...') and relative clauses. However, there are frequent grammatical errors in tense consistency, article usage, and prepositions. Examples include 'those are working worldwide' instead of 'that operate worldwide', 'company plan' instead of 'companies plan' or 'the company plans', 'travel another country' instead of 'travel to another country', and 'employer got' instead of 'employers get'. While these errors do not completely obscure the meaning, their frequency across simple and complex structures restricts the grammar score to Band 5.5.
