Numerous companies grant vacations and allow employees to work from any part of the world for a certain period of time which benefits the both the employer and the employee. Employees can travel and spend time with their loved ones without having to worry about losing time at their job.

Some companies plan yearly trips to various tourist destinations which allows team members to bond and relax. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both why the opportunity is good for employees and what advantages it brings to companies. However, it must be noted that the response falls short of the minimum length requirement, containing 232 words rather than the required 250. This impacts the overall development of ideas. While relevant points are introduced, such as team bonding and expanding horizons, some ideas remain under-developed or general, such as mentioning that trips help 'identify possible locations suitable to set up another branch' without further elaboration. To reach a higher band, the response needs to extend every main idea with fully realized supporting explanations and examples, while ensuring it meets the word count.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The text presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the writing into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is sometimes faulty. For instance, the transition between paragraphs jumps somewhat abruptly from remote working policies in the second paragraph to yearly tourist trips and seminars in the third paragraph. Cohesive devices are used, but referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the phrase 'benefits the both the employer and the employee' and the loose linking of ideas across paragraphs. Paragraphing is present, but paragraph unity could be improved by grouping related concepts together more logically. To improve, you should employ a wider range of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that every paragraph flows smoothly into the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, successfully conveying general meaning. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items such as 'upliftment', 'multinational', and 'potential customers'. However, there are instances of unnatural word choice and collocation errors, such as 'benefits the both the employer', 'send an employee in another country' (instead of 'to'), and 'in another countries'. Spelling is generally accurate, but some lexical inaccuracies persist that prevent the response from achieving a higher band. To improve, focus on using precise word forms, mastering prepositional collocations, and incorporating a more sophisticated range of academic vocabulary naturally into your sentences.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing structures like relative clauses and conditional-style reasoning. There are some grammar and punctuation errors, but they rarely impede communication. Examples of errors include subject-verb agreement issues ('motivate them perform' instead of 'motivate them to perform'), missing articles ('in another countries'), and preposition errors. The grammatical structures used tend to be somewhat repetitive rather than showing a wide variety of error-free complex sentences. To reach a higher band, you should aim to produce a greater variety of complex structures with improved accuracy, paying closer attention to verb patterns, singular/plural agreements, and prepositions.
