Student answer (Band 5.0)

India is well developed country and our Government is motviting all International companes to set up their plant in India. This will help th epeople who are jobless and moreover crime ratio will be less when they are busy. Really, I think in India we have good amount of multinational companies and myself is also working for German company.

Most of companies has set up their plant here due to various reasong and when employees are working for such organisation they might go to their parent plant for some trainings, meetings or for sme other official work. this would be great opportunity for such employees as they get good exposure in future while switching the job. Also, they get to know the work culture, food and other things which might be helpful for them in future. Again, it depends on company to company whch employee needs to go and whether the same employee will be continuing with us on a long run.

On the other hand, some companies don't care about all these as they are interested to get their work carried out by using the skills of that employee. Company thinks that giving opportunity to stay for limited period in another country wll sure benefit them in terms of work routine. With the help of that employee company can gain more business and make more profits just by giving this exposure to the right employee.

In conclusion, I believe that both companies & employees can benefit from this opportunity.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing why international working opportunities benefit both employees and companies, satisfying the core requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion regarding employee benefits mentions gaining future exposure and learning work culture, but these points are stated simply without adequate extension or concrete examples from personal experience. Similarly, the company advantages are touched upon via profit and business growth, yet the arguments lack depth. The writer's position is discernible, but the overall treatment of the topic is only partial, placing this criterion at the targeted level.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation in the essay, evident in the division into an introduction, body paragraphs addressing employee benefits and company advantages, and a brief conclusion. However, there is no clear overall progression across the text. Cohesive devices are used rather repetitively and sometimes inaccurately, such as the frequent transitions like 'Also', 'Again', and 'On the other hand'. Furthermore, paragraphing is not always managed effectively, with the opening paragraph mixing broad context with a personal anecdote rather than focusing strictly on setting up the essay structure. Referencing is occasionally unclear, which disrupts the logical flow between sentences.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate for the task, with attempts at less-common terms such as 'multinational companies' and 'official work'. However, there are noticeable lexical errors, including spelling mistakes like 'motviting' instead of motivating, 'companes' instead of companies, 'reasong' instead of reasons, and 'whch' instead of which. Word choice is also occasionally awkward, such as 'crime ratio will be less' and 'on a long run' instead of 'in the long run'. These errors and the limited range of vocabulary mean that communication is sometimes strained for the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text displays a limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent attempts at complex clauses that often turn out faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader, including missing articles ('India is well developed country' instead of 'a well developed country'), subject-verb agreement issues ('Most of companies has set up' instead of 'Most companies have set up'), and pronoun misuse ('myself is also working' instead of 'I am also working'). Punctuation and capitalization errors, such as starting a new sentence with a lowercase letter ('this would be great opportunity'), are also prevalent throughout the response.
