Student answer (Band 5.5)

These days several multi-national companies send their employes to another country for work.

This is a good opportunity for learning new skills and ultimately benefit to company. The employees will implement their knowledge and skills for the development of company.

Nowadays, there is increasing trend of employees transfer between internatonal companies. In fact, it is a good opportunity for the staff to polish their skills. When employ work in another country in different working environment, they have the chance of learning new techniques. There might be more competition among staff members which enhances their capabilities. Furthermore, working in various professional environments boost up the confidence. Therefore these employes can work more efficiently for the betterment of their company.

If companies invest on their workers, they will have more productivity. This approach is equally beneficial for both staff and company. For example, if an employ go to a different company, he will learn more advanced technology and skill, then he will apply this knowledge for the improvement of his company. However, foreign tours and residence can create a huge cost for the company. Therefore companies have to decide whether this apportunity outweighs the loss over benefit. Moreover, its important to choose most well deserved and compatible candidate so that, he will beneficial for the future of company.

In conclusion, I support this approch of companies, sending their staff members on foreign trips to another country because it is demand of modern era. Nowadays competition is hard as more and more companies are introducing their businesses with latest technologies. Hence, it is now mendadory to take steps to cope up these new challanges.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the benefits for employees, such as learning new skills and boosting confidence, and the advantages for companies, including higher productivity and advanced technology application. However, the development of these ideas remains somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the point about employees applying new knowledge to help their company is repeated across multiple paragraphs without being significantly extended with deeper analysis or concrete, specific examples from real-world contexts. While a clear position is maintained throughout, the ideas lack the fully elaborated support required for a higher band level, remaining at a level where points are introduced and briefly stated rather than fully explored.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response demonstrates some organisation with a discernible overall structure, including an introduction, body paragraphs addressing the prompt's questions, and a brief conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised to separate main themes, such as employee skill development versus company investment. Nevertheless, the progression of ideas lacks clear overall flow at times, and cohesive devices are frequently mechanical or repetitive, as seen with transitional phrases like 'Furthermore,' 'Therefore,' and 'Moreover.' Referencing is also occasionally unclear or imprecise, which disrupts the smooth logical development from one sentence to the next. The mechanical use of cohesive ties and occasional lapses in logical sequencing keep the cohesion profile at this level.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The lexical resource used is limited but minimally adequate to convey the core message. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'multi-national,' 'technologies,' and 'professionals,' but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word form, spelling, and word choice throughout the text. Examples of lexical inaccuracies include spelling mistakes like 'employes' instead of employees, 'internatonal' instead of international, 'mendadory' instead of mandatory, and 'challanges' instead of challenges, alongside awkward phrasing such as 'employ go' and 'apportunity.' These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a vocabulary range that is restricted and lacks precise control over less common lexical items and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The writer employs a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences alongside basic complex forms. Attempts at more complex structures are often faulty, featuring frequent errors in articles, prepositions, subject-verb agreement, and verb forms. Examples of grammatical errors include 'benefit to company' instead of benefiting the company, 'there is increasing trend' missing an article, 'if companies invest on' with an incorrect preposition, and 'its important' missing an apostrophe. These frequent errors in basic grammatical patterns and punctuation persist throughout the text and can cause occasional difficulty for the reader, fitting the descriptor where simple and complex forms are mixed with frequent non-impeding mistakes.
