Student answer (Band 6.0)
With multinational companiesexpamding themselves in every corner of he world, there has been a demand for skilled labour. To satisfy these demands companies have started training their staff to abroad where they can stay and esxperience the work life. In this essay, I will further discuss the good this action can do to the employees and the benefits the employer receives.
I belive that employees are able to attain self growth through these training pathways. An employee at one point strucks a dead end to their growth. These abroad pathways could revive their curious minds so they can pursue knowledge from the experts around the world. A clear illustration of this is automation corporations have been sending their technicians to Italy so they could learn and have all the necessary knowledge and resources of their will.
While employees achieve personal growth, their accomplishments also assist the employer in attaining theirs growth. Corporations can grow their profits with the knowledge attained. These employees are assets to them as they help the employer understand the gap that could be holding them back. For example, the abroad trained technicians can significantly reduce the downtimes through their expertise so that the firm no longer needs to rely on outsiders for assistance.
In conclusion, employees and employer both share the same motive of continued improvement. This motive not only helps the employer run thier businesses smoothly but also prepares their employees.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt by discussing why the opportunity is good for employees and what advantages it brings to companies. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and lacks sufficient support, keeping the response at this level. While the ideas are relevant, explanations tend to be brief and general, such as the example regarding automation technicians in Italy, which could have been elaborated further to fully illustrate the benefits. Additionally, it is important to note that the response does not meet the minimum length requirement of 250 words, as it contains only 236 words. To reach a higher band, the writer needs to expand on the examples and provide more fully developed points for both aspects of the prompt while ensuring the word count requirement is met.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement and a clear progression of ideas from the introduction through to the conclusion. The writer successfully divides the response into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs for employees and companies, and a brief concluding paragraph. Cohesive devices are used to connect ideas, such as 'In this essay, I will further discuss', 'While employees achieve personal growth', and 'In conclusion'. However, cohesion can sometimes feel a bit mechanical, and referencing between sentences could be smoother to achieve a more natural flow. To move to a higher band, the writer should incorporate a wider variety of advanced cohesive devices and ensure that paragraph transitions are completely seamless and unobtrusive.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The writer uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common words and phrases such as 'multinational companies', 'skilled labour', 'self growth', and 'continued improvement'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'expamding' instead of 'expanding', 'he world' instead of 'the world', 'esxperience' instead of 'experience', and 'belive' instead of 'believe'. Furthermore, phrases like 'strucks a dead end' show some awkward collocation. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they do cause some difficulty for the reader. To reach a higher band, the writer needs to demonstrate greater precision in word choice and collocation, use a wider range of sophisticated vocabulary, and eliminate spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'To satisfy these demands companies have started training their staff to abroad where they can stay and esxperience the work life.' There are several grammatical errors present, including missing prepositions ('training their staff to abroad'), incorrect article usage, and subject-verb agreement issues like 'employees and employer both share'. Punctuation and word form errors within grammatical patterns also occur, such as 'attaining theirs growth'. These errors do not generally impede communication, but they are frequent enough to hold the score at this level. To achieve a higher band, the writer must produce a greater proportion of error-free sentences when using complex structures and ensure tighter control over basic grammar and prepositions.
