Student answer (Band 5.5)
Undoubtedly, with globalization, the world is integrated into a small village. As a result, staff can work from any corner of the world because, these days, multinational companies are offering opportunities to work remotely. This trend not only benefits the workers but also brings fruitful results in favour of the firms. This essay will explain the details how it is advantageous for both the workers as well as employers.
To begin with, there are various benefits of this shift. Firstly, workers will not feel homesick, the reason is that they do not have to leave their families that used to be a ritual few decades back if someone wants to work for an international entities. For example, Procter & Gamble is an international brand, and they have expanded their branches over the whole globe. If a person from less developed countries wants to work for big international empires, they can do so without being migrating to a developed country. Secondly, multinational organizations pay more as compared to a domestic companies, consequently this will improve the standard of living of the staff members.
Moving towards companies, this privilege reduces the cost of the companies. As per a recent survey, business units pay twenty percent of their profit in the form of sick leave. If employees are working from the places that are chosen by them, then there will be less stress and anxiety because they are staying with their near and dear ones. So, the chances of getting ill are less, and this also reduces the rate of absenteeism. In addition, productivity will increase many times because employees will develop a sense of belongingness towards the organization, and they put more effort towards the growth of the company.
In conclusion, working remotely is very beneficial for working class because it not only reduces the feeling of homesickness but also improves the financial strenght of them. On the other hand, it increases the company's profitability by cutting sick leave expenditure, and employees feel safe, which reduces the turnover of the entity.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses both questions and maintains a generally clear position that the arrangement can benefit employees and companies. The company-side points—lower sick-leave costs, reduced absenteeism and higher productivity—are relevant, and the example of international firms gives some context. However, the main weakness is that the essay discusses remote work rather than the task’s specific opportunity to live and work in another country. The claim that employees avoid homesickness by staying with family therefore does not explain the benefits of an overseas placement. Other employee advantages, such as gaining international experience or developing new skills, are not explored. Develop each side with examples directly connected to living and working abroad, and clarify how the benefits arise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for employees and companies, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Secondly,” and “In addition” help readers follow the points. However, some linking is mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is not always clear. For example, the discussion moves from working remotely to avoiding homesickness, although the prompt concerns living in another country. The reference to “this privilege” also depends on an unclear antecedent. The conclusion repeats the main points but introduces turnover without developing it in the body. Use more precise references and transitions, and ensure each paragraph progresses through a clearly explained point and supporting example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response uses a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “multinational companies,” “standard of living,” “absenteeism,” and “productivity.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and the meaning is generally understandable. However, several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “small village,” “international entities,” “big international empires,” and “sense of belongingness.” There are also spelling and word-form problems, including “strenght.” These issues make the language less precise and sometimes distract from the argument. Aim for natural collocations and terminology that matches the task: for instance, distinguish an overseas work placement from remote work, and use established phrases such as “international experience” or “employee engagement.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The essay attempts a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional and cause-and-effect structures, as in “If employees are working … then there will be less stress.” Most ideas remain understandable, but errors occur in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms. Examples include “because, these days” with unnecessary punctuation, “an international entities,” “a domestic companies,” and “without being migrating.” The sentence beginning “Firstly, workers will not feel homesick, the reason is that…” joins two independent clauses incorrectly. Some long sentences also make relationships harder to follow. Improve control by checking singular and plural forms, using the correct verb pattern after “without,” and separating or properly joining clauses. More accurate complex sentences would make the reasoning clearer.
