Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both questions and maintains a relevant focus: it identifies international experience and language exposure as benefits for employees, and international collaboration and learning about overseas systems as benefits for companies. These are appropriate ideas, and the conclusion brings both sides together. However, some points are asserted rather than explained. For example, the link between international experience and a salary increase is not supported, and the language point is brief. The company benefits are somewhat clearer, but an example or explanation of how overseas experience leads to a specific business gain would strengthen them. Develop each main idea with a reason and a relevant example, and clarify the opening claim about opportunities being offered mainly to senior staff.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for employee benefits and company benefits, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and transitions such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “Consequently” help connect points. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some flexibility in organising the response. To make progression more consistently smooth, ensure each paragraph develops one central idea rather than moving quickly between claims. For instance, the paragraph on international experience shifts from appreciation to salary and then job-market demand without fully showing the links. Some transitions also feel formulaic; clearer reference words and more explicit cause-and-effect connections would make the relationships between ideas easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response attempts a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “international experience,” “collaborate,” “policies,” and “working environment.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and some less common expressions are attempted. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the phrasing awkward, as in “a masterstroke to gain popularity and aknowldgement” and “a genuine salary.” There are also repeated broad terms such as “opportunity” and “companies.” Aim for more natural combinations and check spelling carefully. More precise language for the benefits—such as professional development, cross-cultural communication, or market expansion—would make the argument clearer and more flexible.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The essay uses both simple statements and attempts at more complex structures, including “This experience is not only…” and the sentence beginning “Furthermore, an exposure…”. The overall meaning remains understandable, but errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “this kind of stay opportunity often turn out” needs subject–verb agreement, while “these types of offer” and “a exposure” have article or number problems. The opening phrase “Commencing the most salient advantage…” also creates an awkward sentence structure. Practise building accurate sentences around a clear subject and verb, then check agreement and articles. More reliable control of these patterns would allow the complex ideas to come through more smoothly.
