Student answer (Band 5.0)

It has been observed that global-stage businesses offer attractive packages to attract employees to join and work for them in other countries. These packages not only help them to get success but also help the companies, which will be discussed in the upcoming paragraphs.

Examining the reasons, one common reason is financial support for their family members who are living in their home country because international businesses always offer the bundle in dollars or euros, which convert into a huge amount when they send it to their family. For example, companies from nations like the USA and Germany hire people from other countries like India or Pakistan for jobs like dispatchers or in warehouses, which will help those employees to get employed at a salary-based pay rate.

On the other hand, hiring employees from developing nations will also help them not to pay them higher salaries as compared to the local employees, this will be convenient for companies to manage higher profits with lower salaries for international staff members. For instance, Dispatchers are one of the best example; there is one lady who is working for an American Truck company as a dispatcher from India, and her wage is lower for that company but it also assists that company to grow more with less expense.

In conclusion, although international companies help the foreign workers with a good salary package, but it will be advantageous for global companies, such as financial help for workers and staff work as a development key for the foreign companies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions by discussing financial benefits for employees and lower staffing costs for companies, and the examples involving workers from India and Pakistan make the topic relevant. However, the response only partially develops the task: the employee benefit is mainly framed as sending money home, while other possible advantages of living and working abroad—such as gaining skills, independence, or international experience—are not explored. The company benefit is also presented narrowly as paying lower wages, without explaining how overseas assignments might improve expertise, collaboration, or market knowledge. The conclusion is unclear about which advantages belong to employees and which to companies. Develop each side with a clear explanation and a specific supporting example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for employees and companies, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression within and between ideas is limited, and linking phrases are sometimes mechanical or confusing. For example, “Examining the reasons” and “On the other hand” signal relationships that are not fully clear, since the second body paragraph shifts to a different question rather than presenting a direct contrast. The conclusion repeats earlier points but combines them in a way that obscures their relationship. Use topic sentences that directly identify each paragraph’s focus, then connect explanation and example clearly; ensure pronouns such as “them” have an unmistakable reference.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “international businesses,” “financial support,” “developing nations,” and “profits,” so the main ideas can generally be understood. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning awkward. “Global-stage businesses” is not a natural expression here; “multinational companies” would be clearer. “Offer the bundle in dollars or euros” and “salary-based pay rate” are also imprecise, while “staff work as a development key” is difficult to interpret. There is repetition of “companies,” “help,” and “employees.” Build a more precise range for discussing overseas work, compensation, skills, and business benefits, and check that phrases sound natural in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including explanations with “because” and examples introduced by “which.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to follow. In “hiring employees from developing nations will also help them not to pay them higher salaries …, this will be convenient,” a comma joins two complete clauses, and the repeated “them” makes the reference unclear. There are also errors in articles and number, as in “one of the best example,” and punctuation spacing in “package, but.” The final sentence has an unclear grammatical relationship between its clauses. Practise separating complete ideas with a full stop or suitable conjunction, and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries during revision.
