Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both questions and maintains a positive view of overseas placements. For employees, it identifies cultural exposure, adaptation, connections with local people, and learning about foreign workplace practices. For companies, it mentions cross-training and a more flexible workforce. These are relevant points, but some are not fully explained: for example, the claim that an experienced employee can provide “an insight on any conflicts” is unclear, and the company benefits are mostly asserted rather than illustrated with a specific example. The conclusion restates the overall position but adds little development. To strengthen the response, explain more directly how each benefit helps employees or companies and support the points with a clear, relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for employee and company benefits, and a conclusion. The progression from one part of the question to the other is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To commence with” and “To recapitulate” help identify the stages. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some control of paragraphing. However, several transitions feel mechanical, and linking phrases such as “To expound,” “To elaborate further,” and “Thus” do not always make the relationship between ideas clearer. Some references, including “above example” and “these circumstances,” are vague. Use simpler, more precise links and make each sentence’s connection to the main point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response attempts a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “multinational organizations,” “work culture,” “cross train,” and “flexible employees.” This shows an effort to use language beyond basic terms. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear. Examples include “offer individuals to live abroad,” “workers intrection,” “switchng role,” and “supportive athmosphere.” Phrases such as “grow them” and “costing or bothering upper management” are also unnatural in this context. Aim for accurate, natural combinations—for example, “allow employees to live abroad,” “interact with colleagues,” and “develop their skills”—and proofread spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
There is an attempt to use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses with “while,” “which,” and “in order to.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors and punctuation problems remain. For example, “these job possibilities offer individuals to live abroad” uses an incorrect verb pattern, while “it also educates them … and develop their work portfolio” has an inconsistent subject structure. The sentence beginning “this can lead” is joined to the preceding sentence with a full stop missing, and several sentences have missing spaces after punctuation. Work on verb patterns, parallel structures, and sentence boundaries; then check articles and punctuation so that complex sentences remain clear.
