Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent times, numbers of international firms offer their employee's a chance for a certain time to working and living in foreign country. I believe this could be the best opportunity for staff because they can earn encome in foreign currency and explore culture. While, this give advantages to the companies.

To begin with, the one main reason of the chace having work in foreign country is that employees can earn in foreign currency. The currency exchage rate between two nations allows them a chance to get more money insted of their old contract. For example, the exchange rate of US dollar in Indian currency is around 90 Ruppes. Furthermore, staff also get knowledge of other cultures like their foods, clothing style, etc. They will learn more about living standard of foreign people which will put good impact on their personal ifestyle.

Additionally, not only staff get benefits of living in abroad nations but also companies get advantages as they do not have to find new telent from other nations which are sometimes not trusworthy. They can trust on their old employees, who are woking since long period of time which build trust over their staffs for faithfull work ethics in different branch instead foreign employees might left job without appropriate notice. For instance, I have personally get this opportunity from tata company to move canada for job and I am still working in this company since 3 years.

Conclusively, in my view the offer should not be missed out by employees as it gives chance to explore abroad culture and get pay in foreign currency. While, companies also have advantages of trust over his employees.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question and maintain a clear view that overseas placements benefit employees and companies. The employee benefits—earning in a foreign currency and learning about another culture—are relevant, and the exchange-rate example gives one idea some support. You also explain that companies can retain trusted staff rather than recruit unfamiliar workers, and your Tata example adds a personal illustration. However, the company advantage is less fully explained: the link between overseas experience and improved performance or business outcomes is not made clear, and the claim about foreign recruits being untrustworthy is broad. Develop each benefit with a specific explanation and a more balanced example to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for employee and company benefits, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with” and “Additionally” help signal the main points, and the reader can follow the overall argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “While, this give advantages to the companies” does not clearly introduce the second part, and the final “While” creates an incomplete contrast. Within the company paragraph, the ideas about trust, work ethics, and employees leaving are crowded together. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each explanation directly to its main point, and use pronouns with unmistakable references to improve progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “exchange rate,” “foreign currency,” “employees,” and “work ethics,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts to use more specific expressions, such as “living standard” and “appropriate notice.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “encome,” “chace,” “exchage,” and “telent” are examples. Several phrases are also unnatural, including “chance for a certain time,” “work in foreign country,” and “trust over his employees.” Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “a temporary overseas assignment,” “work in a foreign country,” and “trust in their employees.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the construction “not only … but also,” and most of the intended meaning can be understood. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “a chance for a certain time to working” needs a different verb pattern, while “this give advantages” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. In “employees can earn … and explore culture,” the article and plural form are missing, and “which build trust” does not agree with its subject. Some punctuation also disrupts sentence flow, particularly the comma after “While.” Practise accurate clause patterns and review articles, agreement, and verb forms when editing.
