Student answer (Band 6.0)
Many multinational firms provide their employees a chance to go abroad and workfor them. I believe this gives an advantage to the company and the employee too. I will explain why using some useful points and examples.
Nowadays, corporate employees lose interest in their work sooner due to a repititiveness in their daily life. They are looking for a change. Sending them abrad can give them that change. It will also help the company to retain them for longer time. Plus, the employee too will stay engaged and work better. For instance, the employee given the opportunity abroad will have a better motivation to work. Thus, this will benefit the company as the employee will be moreproductive and active in handling responsibilites.
On the other hand, this is a great opportunity for the employees to expand their horizons. Living and working in another country will give them a new experience and knowledge. An additional advantage will be their personal development. This chance will improve and mold their personalities. For example, they might have to learn a new language or adapt themselves to a newer surroundings or climate. This will teach them to unlearn old habits to acclamatise to newer ones. It will teach the employees to overcome new challenges. Furthermore, it will open newer avenues professionally.
In conclusion, this opportunity is a win-win for both the parties. For the company, its reducing the employee turnover and for the employee its to gain a unique experience of living in a different country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses both questions and maintains a clear overall view that the arrangement benefits employees and companies. The company-focused paragraph explains that overseas placements can reduce boredom, improve motivation and productivity, and help retain staff; the employee-focused paragraph covers new experiences, personal development, adaptation, and career opportunities. These are relevant points, and the examples of learning a language and adjusting to a different climate help make the discussion concrete. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained: for instance, the link between working abroad and higher productivity could be developed with a specific workplace example. The conclusion summarises the two benefits but could more precisely restate how each is achieved. More balanced development and support would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for company and employee benefits, and a conclusion. The progression between the two main areas is easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the other hand,” “For instance,” and “Furthermore” help guide the reader. However, some linking is mechanical or imprecise. “On the other hand” suggests a contrast, although the employee benefits complement rather than oppose the company benefits. The sequence “This chance will improve and mold their personalities” followed by “For example” also leaves the relationship between the claim and example somewhat loose. In the conclusion, “its” does not clearly refer to the company or opportunity. Use more precise transitions and clearer referencing to make the connections between ideas smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response uses a relevant range of vocabulary, including “retain,” “engaged,” “expand their horizons,” “personal development,” and “professionally,” which allows the main ideas to be expressed clearly. It also attempts less common expressions such as “acclimatise” and “avenues.” However, several spelling errors and awkward or inaccurate word choices reduce precision: “repititiveness,” “abrad,” “responsibilites,” and “acclamatise” are misspelled, while “a newer surroundings” is an unnatural combination. Phrases such as “better motivation” and “newer avenues” are also less idiomatic than alternatives like “greater motivation” and “new career opportunities.” Check spelling carefully and prioritise natural collocations; this would make the vocabulary more accurate and flexible.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
There is a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including the conditional structure “Sending them abroad can give them that change” and the example beginning “For example, they might have to learn a new language.” Most sentences communicate their meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. In “provide their employees a chance,” the verb pattern needs “provide their employees with a chance.” The conclusion has agreement and contraction problems: “its reducing” should be “it is reducing,” and “for the employee its to gain” needs a clearer grammatical construction, such as “employees gain.” The phrase “adapt themselves to a newer surroundings” also has a number mismatch. Greater accuracy with verb patterns, agreement, and sentence construction would improve control while preserving the range already attempted.
