Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions: employee benefits include confidence, communication and personal growth, while company benefits include lower management or training costs and attracting more clients. These points are relevant, but they are mostly asserted rather than explained with specific examples or clear cause-and-effect development. The opening also introduces “standard of living” without showing how working abroad would improve it. The response ends with “In concluson” and no conclusion, so the discussion feels unfinished. The response contains 238 words, below the required 250; the 10 words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop each main benefit with a brief example and complete the response with a concise conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph about employees and one about companies. This helps the reader identify the two parts of the task. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several ideas are repeated, particularly personal growth and company growth. Linking is also sometimes awkward: “Additionally” introduces a related point, but the connection between staff independence and attracting clients could be made clearer. The final line, “In concluson,” is incomplete and leaves the essay without a proper ending. Use a clear topic sentence for each paragraph, then explain and illustrate each point in sequence; finish with a complete concluding sentence. More precise referencing would also help connect claims to their causes.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “international companies,” “communication,” “strategies,” “managing cost” and “clients.” This gives the response enough topic-related language to communicate its main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “explore their skills,” “helpful for their personal growth,” and “the growth of company.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “developemnt,” “coincindgly” and “concluson,” which reduce clarity and polish. Aim for more precise business and employment vocabulary, and proofread spelling and collocations. For example, describe employees as developing or applying skills rather than “exploring” them.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentences, for example the sentence beginning “The strategies learned by the staff…” and the clause “if employees provide solutions to clients.” However, the range is limited, and frequent errors in basic sentence patterns make parts difficult to read. Examples include “provide a opportunity,” “will likely to helpful,” “employee can explore,” and “companies will do not need,” which show problems with articles, verb forms and agreement. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: “position.Personal” has no space after the full stop, and “staff will be eligible…” begins a sentence without a capital letter. Practise accurate simple sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with controlled clauses and check each sentence for a complete, correctly formed verb.
