Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions and maintain a positive view of overseas placements. For employees, you mention gaining experience, learning about workplace culture, developing decision-making skills, and building international connections; for companies, you identify a more capable workforce, lower staff turnover, and business expansion. These are relevant points, but several are asserted rather than explained. For example, the link between learning traditions and developing “a strong personality” is unclear, and the company benefits would be stronger with a specific example of how international experience improves performance or market access. The response also falls 12 words short of the required minimum, leaving limited space to develop its ideas. Explain the cause-and-effect links and support at least one point with a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for employee and company benefits, and a conclusion. This makes the two parts of the question easy to identify. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “In addition,” and “On the other hand” help signal progression, and the conclusion returns to the main benefits. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “On the other hand” suggests a contrast, although the paragraph adds another set of advantages; “Furthermore” would be more logical. The employee paragraph also strings several points together in one long sentence, making the relationships between them less clear. Use more precise transitions and divide or organise ideas so each paragraph develops a clear central point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “work experience,” “career development,” “analytical skills,” “staff turnover,” and “career opportunities.” These choices show an attempt to discuss both personal and organisational benefits. However, several noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems limit precision: “in the abroad,” “work cuture,” “complicated decisions,” and “a stronger connections” are not natural or accurate in context. Some phrases, such as “strong personality to survive in a long run,” are also vague. Aim for more precise business-related expressions and check spelling and collocations carefully. For example, describe employees as developing “cross-cultural skills” and companies as making “complex decisions” or reducing “employee turnover.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “which,” “as,” and “so,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors occur across the response, particularly in subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries. Examples include “It help employees,” “employees gets,” and “a strong connections”; the sentence beginning “To commence with” also runs on through several linked ideas. Capitalisation is inconsistent, as in “It” and “In conclusion” after commas or sentence openings. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the intended relationships. Review agreement and article use, and break long sentences into shorter, controlled units while continuing to practise complex clauses.
