Student answer (Band 6.0)
It has become increasingly common for large international companies to provide an opportunity to their employees to live and work in overseas for certain period of time. This opportunity can be beneficial for workers, and it can also contribute in the development of companies.
One main reason why offering an opportunity to the staff for living and working in another country is getting new experience. When the staff of a company choose to work in a different nation, they experience new culture, tradition, and environment. In this way, they get a chance to learn something new and take a break from their usual routines.
Expanding a social circle can be another benefit for workers. People who go to abroad for working commitments, they meet to new colleagues and interact with them. All these activities help them to expand their horizen. At the same time, they can learn new skills from their coworkers that may not possible to learn at their original workplace, which can make eligible to them for promotion.
Companies themselves also can obtain benefits from the approach of sending staff overseas for short period of time. Sending experienced staff to another country help them to save money. Companies does not need to spend extra money to train new employees beacuse experienced workers can take this responsibility as they already aware about the working procedures and requirements. Therefore, they not only help to reduce requiretment cost but also increase the productivity of the company.
In conclusion, getting opportunity to spend a period of timeof living and working abroad brings benefits for both employees and companies. Employees can get new experience and expand social circle and companies can save money and boost produvtivity.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both questions and maintains a relevant focus: employees may gain new experiences, broaden their social circles and learn skills, while companies may reduce training costs and improve productivity. These are appropriate reasons, and the conclusion restates the main benefits. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the link between meeting colleagues and becoming eligible for promotion is not made clear, and the company benefits focus mainly on saving money, with productivity mentioned but not illustrated. Develop each point with a specific explanation or example, such as how overseas experience helps staff handle international clients or transfer effective practices between offices. This would make the response more fully developed and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs on employee benefits and company benefits, and a conclusion. The progression from gaining experience to expanding social networks is understandable, and phrases such as “At the same time” and “Therefore” help signal relationships between ideas. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and also shows some stronger control through purposeful paragraphing. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. “All these activities” has an imprecise reference, while “People who go to abroad for working commitments, they…” creates an awkward connection between the subject and its explanation. Use clearer referencing and vary transitions by showing the exact relationship between each claim and its consequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response uses enough vocabulary to discuss the topic, including relevant terms such as “overseas,” “social circle,” “coworkers,” “working procedures” and “productivity.” It also attempts some less common expressions, but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which limits precision: “work in overseas,” “go to abroad,” “expand their horizen,” and “reduce requiretment cost.” Spelling errors such as “beacuse” and “produvtivity” are noticeable, though the intended meaning is generally recoverable. Aim for more natural combinations and check spelling carefully. For instance, use “work abroad,” “broaden their horizons,” and “recruitment costs”; these choices would make the argument clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional-style explanation with “When the staff… choose to work…” and a relative clause in “workers… that may not possible to learn.” Meaning is usually understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. Examples include missing or incorrect articles and prepositions in “for certain period of time” and “in overseas,” subject–verb agreement in “Sending experienced staff… help” and “Companies does not need,” and faulty clause construction in “People who go… they meet.” The final sentence also contains a broken phrase: “a period of timeof living.” Review agreement, articles and sentence boundaries, and revise complex sentences to ensure each clause is grammatically complete.
