Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address both questions and maintain a relevant focus: the first main paragraph explains how overseas experience can build employees’ cultural understanding, confidence and leadership, while the second identifies productivity, retention and reduced hiring or training costs for companies. The Siemens example and the survey reference also show an effort to support your points. Some ideas, however, are more fully explained than others. The employee benefits are linked to specific skills, but the company paragraph moves quickly from retention to training costs, and the relationship between travel and lower training costs is not made clear. To strengthen the response, explain each advantage step by step and make examples directly illustrate the claim they support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for employee and company benefits, and a conclusion that returns to both parts of the question. Sequencing within the paragraphs is generally understandable, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. At times, however, these transitions feel mechanical, and some links between ideas are not fully explicit. For instance, the move from employees learning about consumer habits to becoming more efficient in company work could be explained more directly. The company paragraph also combines productivity, retention and training costs without clearly showing how each point connects. Use fewer formulaic signposts and build clearer links between claims and explanations.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “international exposure,” “problem solving,” “consumer habits,” “productivity” and “decision making.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, but inaccurate word forms, spelling and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the phrasing awkward, as in “better leadership qualities,” “different requiremnt,” “company working” and “short time to work out of homecountry.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “positive aspects of given statement.” This fits a response with enough vocabulary to discuss the topic, but limited control over natural usage. Check spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships; choosing simpler, accurate phrasing is preferable to using an ambitious expression incorrectly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple statements and attempts at more complex sentences, including conditional and relative structures: “when the employees get international exposure…” and “employees retain in company for longer time which save…” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries reduce accuracy. For example, “It also increase” should have a verb agreeing with “it,” and “which save” needs to agree with the preceding idea. The sentence beginning “For example, Siemens Germany provide…” also needs clearer grammatical construction, while punctuation is missing after “employees.” Work on checking subject–verb agreement, articles and clause boundaries, then revise complex sentences to ensure each clause is complete and correctly connected.
