Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modern era, big interantional companies give opportunity to their staff to work and live in abroad for shorter period of time. This opportunity is not only beneficial for the employees but also bring a lot of advantages to the company as well. I will discuss both my views that why this opportunity can be considered good for employee and what advantages can it bring to the company in the upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, there are lot of benefits of working in international companies such as higher saleries, better lifestyle and many more; however, the opportunity to work abroad can the best out of it. Well, working in another country brings many postive things in the life of a employee as when a person works in different country they will able to discover new technology and new ideas. To exemplify, every country have their own technology and nobody can learn it until they use that technology and when a employee visit another country he or she can learn to use that technology and it would increase his scope of learning. Morever, when a person meet people from different community they can develop new thoughts and ideas in their mind and this brings postivie outcome to both their personal and professional life.

Secondly, this can be also beneficial for the companies as well. To explain it, when an employee joins back in the company after working in another country, they can explain better where they are lacking and on which areas they need to work on and also with the help of new technology and ideas they can make their company work better and bring more development to the company.

In conclusion, we can conclude that by saying that it would be the best decision for the company to send them abroad to work as it could only bring success to their company with no drawbacks. Therefore, to develop their company in better way there should give this opportunity to their staff.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions and maintain a generally clear view that overseas placements benefit employees and companies. The employee section gives relevant reasons—learning new technology and gaining ideas through contact with people from different communities—and the company section explains how returning staff could share knowledge and identify areas for improvement. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the benefits to employees are more detailed than those to companies, and the company paragraph largely repeats the idea of transferring technology and ideas without a specific example or further explanation. The claim that there are “no drawbacks” is also too absolute and is not supported. To strengthen the response, explain more fully how international experience improves employees’ careers and how companies can apply that experience to concrete business outcomes.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for employee and company benefits, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” make the sequence easy to follow. However, some linking is mechanical, and the first body paragraph contains several ideas in one long sequence, making the relationship between learning technology and developing new perspectives less clear. The conclusion also repeats the introduction’s main claim rather than drawing together the two strands of the discussion. Use clearer internal progression within paragraphs, and make references such as “this” or “it” point unmistakably to a specific idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main points, including “technology,” “professional life,” “development,” and “opportunity.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors reduce precision. Examples include “work and live in abroad,” “higher saleries,” “postive things,” and “bring more development to the company.” Some expressions are also vague or repetitive, such as “new ideas” and “better.” Aim for more precise phrases that explain the benefits, and check spelling carefully. More natural collocations would make your meaning clearer and help you express the same relevant ideas with greater control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “when” and “as,” and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms. For example, “there are lot of benefits” needs an article, while “every country have” has a subject–verb agreement error. In “they will able to discover,” the verb phrase is incomplete, and “there should give this opportunity” has an unclear subject and faulty structure. Some long sentences also join several clauses without clear control. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check each sentence for a clear subject, correctly formed verb, and appropriate articles.
