Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions and maintain a relevant focus: the essay says employees can gain skills, learn about another market and build international contacts, while companies may use market knowledge to compete and attract clients. However, these ideas are only partly developed. The employee benefits are mostly listed rather than explained in depth, and the company example about ABS Developers is difficult to follow and does not clearly show how sending staff abroad led to the new Lahore project. The introduction also promises a discussion but gives little indication of the specific benefits. The response is one word below the required minimum, so it does not meet the task’s length requirement. Add a little more explanation and a clearer, relevant example to develop both parts fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for employee and company benefits, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “In addition,” “Furthermore,” and “Secondly” help show the relationship between points. However, some linking feels mechanical, and the progression within paragraphs is not always clear. For example, the move from employees learning market trends to making a similar product is abrupt, while the ABS Developers example combines several events without explaining their connection. References such as “they” and “which” can also leave the reader unsure whether they refer to employees or the company. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and make pronoun references explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “multinational organisations,” “market trends,” “international clients,” and “compete,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, sometimes making meaning less clear. Examples include “spend a interval of time,” “market criteria,” “what’s on demanding,” and “reach out them.” There are also spelling errors such as “chould” and “begining,” alongside repeated use of “awareness” and “development.” Aim for more natural combinations and check spelling; for instance, describe employees as gaining “insight into local markets” and companies as “expanding their client base.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional-style explanation beginning “When employees spend…” and a relative clause in “which will help organisation…”. These attempts show some range, but errors are frequent and can make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include missing or incorrect articles in “in different country” and “a person go abroad,” subject–verb agreement in “a person go,” and the faulty construction “which results employee makes.” Sentence boundaries and capitalization also need attention, as in “Furthermore, It” and the long sentence about ABS Developers. Practise accurate article use, verb agreement and clause construction, then divide long sentences so each claim and its result are clear.
