Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent years, many international corporations provide an option to their employees to work and live in a different nation for a certain period of time. This is a better opportunity for those people who want to work in another country and it has severals benefits for the company as well. I will explain the both things in my following paragraphs.

To begin with, the workers will get an advantage to earn a lot of money. For instance, when the company relocated their employees to a different country usually they offer them a high wage package. Furthermore, individuals performs better in the offices because a different environment helps people to relax their mind and eventually people get more focussed their work . A news article revealed that over the last three years this is becoming a trend for individuals to work in other countries so they can become perform better in their fields.

Secondly, the companies generate more revenue when they hire an employee from an another nation. For example, companies can provide a job offer to those people who lives in developing countries. Corporations provide them a minimum wage offer which already is more than they were earning in their home country. Moreover, when people come back to their home country, they have different work experience which helps companies to grow and generate more revenue.

In conclusion, this trend brings positive development for both the corporations and their employees. Employees will perform better and bring positive outcomes which helps the company to achieve their targeted gaols.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions and maintain a generally positive position, with separate discussion of employee and company benefits. The points about higher pay and gaining experience abroad are relevant, and you attempt to support them with examples. However, several explanations are unclear or insufficiently developed. For instance, the claim that a different environment helps employees “relax their mind” and focus is not explained, while the company benefit of hiring people from developing countries is presented mainly as a lower-wage advantage, without showing how this specifically helps an international company. The final paragraph repeats that employees perform better rather than drawing together the distinct benefits. Develop each main idea with a clearer explanation and a specific, plausible example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph on employees, one on companies, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “Secondly” helps readers follow the main sections. However, connections between some ideas are mechanical or unclear. The news-article sentence does not clearly follow from the point about focus, and the relationship between hiring workers from developing countries and generating company revenue needs to be made explicit. The conclusion also repeats earlier claims rather than summarising the two strands of the argument. Use linking phrases to show cause and effect, and ensure each example directly supports the point in its paragraph.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “international corporations,” “relocated,” “work experience,” and “generate more revenue,” so the topic is generally clear. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing. However, word choice and collocation are sometimes inaccurate or repetitive: “an option to their employees” is less natural than “an opportunity for their employees,” and “a high wage package” would be better expressed as “a generous salary package.” Other awkward phrases include “relax their mind” and “become perform better.” Spelling errors such as “focussed” (inconsistent with standard forms) and “gaols” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “when” and “which,” and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, errors occur across verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “individuals performs” should be “individuals perform,” and “people who lives” should be “people who live.” The phrase “they can become perform better” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “the both things” and “an another nation” show article errors. Some sentences also contain awkward or incomplete grammatical relationships, such as “people get more focussed their work.” Review subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and proofread each sentence for articles and missing prepositions.
