Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response identifies relevant benefits for employees, including gaining experience with people from other countries and learning from successful leaders, and it mentions international projects. However, it addresses only the employee part of the question: it gives no explanation of advantages for companies, so the task is only partially answered. The ideas are also very briefly stated; for example, “These skills are good” does not explain how the skills help employees, and the discussion of projects ends without a clear outcome. The response is 107 words, below the required 250-word minimum. To improve, cover both questions and develop each point with a reason and a relevant example, such as how overseas experience can improve an employee’s career prospects and help a company build local knowledge.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation: an introductory paragraph is followed by two paragraphs about employee benefits, and phrases such as “To begin with” and “Apart from this” signal a new point. This gives the reader a simple route through the response. However, there is no clear overall progression because the company-focused part of the task is absent, and the second body paragraph does not develop its point beyond one sentence. The first body paragraph also ends abruptly with “These skills are good,” leaving the connection to the next idea unclear. Use a complete paragraph for each main question, connect explanations to their consequences, and finish with a brief conclusion to make the response feel complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses a small set of relevant terms, including “multinational companies,” “valuable experience,” “international projects,” and “policies.” These show an attempt to discuss the topic directly. However, the vocabulary range is limited and several noticeable spelling or word-choice errors reduce accuracy, such as “helpfull,” “successfull,” and “techiques.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “spend their some time” and “meet that projects.” Repetition of “skills” and “success” further limits variety. Aim to use accurate topic-specific expressions and check spelling carefully; for example, explain what employees learn through “cross-cultural collaboration” or how companies benefit from “international market knowledge.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple and more extended sentence forms, including the opening sentence with “which I will explain” and the clause beginning “by working with people.” However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or incomplete. For example, “multinational companies offering” lacks a finite verb, while “This opportunity … also help” has subject–verb disagreement. Article, number, and sentence-completion problems appear in “another countries,” “get chance,” and the unfinished “These skills are good.” Work on forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and singular/plural forms. More accurate control of these basics would make the ideas easier to follow.
