Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify a relevant benefit for employees—being rewarded and encouraged to work hard—and a possible benefit for companies, such as attracting graduates and increasing profit. However, the response addresses the two questions only minimally: it does not explain clearly how living and working abroad benefits employees, and the company advantages are asserted rather than developed. The example about companies making employees happy repeats the main point instead of illustrating a specific outcome. The response is also substantially below the required 250 words, leaving too little space to explain and support the ideas. To strengthen the answer, discuss concrete effects, such as gaining international experience or helping a company understand overseas markets, and support each with a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening introduces the topic, and the next paragraph discusses benefits. Some links, such as “also” and “For instance,” signal relationships between ideas. However, the progression is difficult to follow because several points are compressed into long, loosely connected sentences, and the second paragraph moves abruptly from employees going abroad to efficiency, staff motivation, and company profit. The opening sentence also combines the company’s motives and its benefits without clearly separating them. Use distinct paragraphs for employee and company advantages, and give each paragraph a clear main idea followed by explanation and an example. More precise linking would make the relationships between claims easier to understand.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “multi-national companies,” “employees,” “potential graduates,” and “profit,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and several choices or collocations are inaccurate, which makes parts of the message unclear. For example, “spending some of their tenure in abroad” is not a natural way to describe an overseas placement, while “company’s crediblity” appears to mean its reputation or attractiveness as an employer. There are also spelling errors, including “crediblity,” and repeated use of general words such as “opportunity” and “staff.” Build a more precise range around international assignments, professional development, employee retention, and access to overseas markets.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts some longer sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “Because, when every employee wants to go abroad,” but control is inconsistent and the range remains limited. Errors in agreement and verb forms occur in “Employer doing this” and “graduates wants,” while “It also encourage” does not agree with its subject. The sentence beginning “Because” is a fragment, and “he can do their work” shifts between singular and plural pronouns. Punctuation also creates awkward breaks, as in “Because,” and the opening sentence joins several ideas without clear sentence boundaries. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking subject–verb agreement, pronoun consistency, and complete sentence structure.
