Student answer (Band 6.0)

At present, a huge difference can be clearly seen as many overseas agencies provide travel opportunities to their staff, to live and work in other countries. However, it is beneficial for both the employees and the development of company. This essay will demonstrate those advantages in the following paragraphs, along with my personal opinion. To begin with the reasons why this opportunity have benefits for the workers. The first and the foremost one is that workers can explore the different cultures, adapt to their environment and experience high standards of living. It allow them to learn how to manage time and become responsible. Moreover, new languages such as English, French and Spanish can be learned by workers, as each country have different language. For instance, a majority of International students in Canada are invited by IRCC to apply for their permanent residency application under French program. Individuals might get chance in the future to launch their own enterprise and get profit as well. To exemplify, a worker can interact with some of the agencies in China and Japan to export or import products in other countries by handling the prices by himself. Moving towards to discuss the merits of the companies through this develpoment. The major key point to consider is that agencies start to join their network with foreign companies as their own workers are already working overseas, which allow them to increase their development. In addition to this, some of the agencies have already setup their other branches in different areas of the world because of their trustworthy and honest workers those were already settled in foreign countries. To demonstrate, Westland Immigration Consultation Agency have opened their new branches in Australia, England and Canada to assist foreigners in their application regarding education, status and permanent residency. To conclude, this development have numerous of merits for both workers and the company. However, I firmly believe that living and working in foreign countries help the employers to change their lifestyle, earn money to fulfill their family needs. Consequently,it benefit the company by rising the growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions and maintain a generally clear position that the opportunity benefits employees and companies. The employee section gives relevant points about cultural exposure, language learning and possible business opportunities, while the company section explains how overseas staff may help build international networks and support new branches. The examples, including the worker’s contacts in China and Japan and the agency’s branches, help make the discussion concrete. However, some ideas are not fully explained: the link between living abroad and “high standards of living” is unclear, and the example about Canadian students’ residency applications does not clearly show how overseas work benefits employees. Develop each point by explaining the practical effect on skills, career prospects or company performance.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for employee and company benefits, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow, and the two main sections are appropriately separated. This meets the lower-band expectation for coherent organisation and also shows some flexibility in linking ideas. At times, however, transitions feel mechanical or awkward, as in “Moving towards to discuss,” and the opening sentence of the employee paragraph is a fragment rather than a complete lead-in. Some links between claims and examples are also abrupt. Use simpler, more natural transitions and make the relationship between each point and its supporting example explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “adapt to their environment,” “foreign companies,” “network,” and “permanent residency,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “To demonstrate” and “the merits.” However, several noticeable word-choice and collocation problems reduce precision: “a huge difference can be clearly seen” does not fit the intended meaning, “high standards of living” is not clearly supported, and “handling the prices by himself” is unnatural in this context. Spelling errors such as “develpoment” and “setup” also affect accuracy. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling; precise phrases such as “expand their international network” would strengthen the discussion.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as” and “because,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. Some sentences are controlled, for example, “Moreover, new languages such as English, French and Spanish can be learned by workers.” However, errors in agreement, verb forms and sentence construction recur. Examples include “this opportunity have benefits,” “It allow them,” “each country have,” and “which allow them,” where the verb does not agree with its subject. “To begin with the reasons why…” is also an incomplete sentence, and “this development have” appears in the conclusion. Review subject–verb agreement and ensure every sentence has a complete main clause; proofreading these patterns would improve accuracy.
