Student answer (Band 5.5)
Multi-national companies have been investing their clients to work in international offices. However, people react differently to the reasons behind this offer and believe it is beneficial as it offers opportunity to work globally. This essay will discuss the possible benefits to employees and merits of this development for companies.
It is evident that when a worker is set up at an international office they tend to learn more. It helps in their overall development of personality. For example, from working to staying in a different country, it allows them to acquire knowledge of behaviour and fashion. Likewise, it helps them learning new culture. When exploring different cultures of respective nation, individuals gain education on art, heritage and craft of local people.
The advantages on business varies from company to company. There are higher chances of seeing growth in the industry. When an industry offer their staff to work at a global platform, it offers exposure to bridge the company to other nation at a higher level. For example, an employee working tirelessly to build the business's reputation and expand the market.
Building the relations at an international level. The work culture often helps in creating bonds with other businesses. For example, attending conferences at a global level gives a chance to know other parties which might help in future business planing. This results in investing in future of the company.
To conclude, working at an international level helps both the company and individual. It shows growth and awareness of global market and this trend should be promoted for its proven benefits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions and maintain a relevant overall position: working abroad can benefit employees through learning and can help companies expand and build relationships. The employee discussion includes cultural learning, while the company sections mention market exposure and contacts made at conferences. However, several points are asserted rather than explained. For instance, “overall development of personality” is not clarified, and the link between an employee’s work and “expand the market” remains vague. The example about building the company’s reputation is also a fragment rather than a developed illustration. To strengthen the response, explain specific outcomes—for example, how local knowledge helps an employee adapt or how international contacts lead to new clients and revenue.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on employee benefits, two paragraphs on company advantages, and a conclusion. The main topics are generally easy to identify, and transitions such as “Likewise,” “For example,” and “To conclude” help guide the reader. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The sentence “Building the relations at an international level” is a fragment and does not connect smoothly to the preceding paragraph, while “This results in investing in future of the company” leaves the relationship between networking and investment unclear. Use complete topic sentences and make each example explicitly support the point before it. Clearer referencing and more varied, precise links between cause and result would improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “international offices,” “global platform,” “heritage,” “exposure,” and “business’s reputation.” These choices show an attempt to discuss both cultural and commercial benefits. However, several word combinations are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the intended meaning less clear. For example, companies do not usually “invest their clients to work”; “offer their staff the opportunity to work” is more appropriate. “Bridge the company to other nation” and “building the relations” also need more natural phrasing. There are also spelling and word-form slips, such as “planing.” Aim to learn vocabulary in common collocations and check spelling and forms when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and most of the main ideas remain understandable. For example, the opening uses a contrastive linker, and the employee paragraph includes a subordinate clause beginning “When exploring different cultures.” However, some errors in sentence structure and agreement reduce accuracy. “The advantages on business varies” has a subject–verb agreement error and an unsuitable preposition; “When an industry offer” also needs a plural verb form. The standalone sentence “Building the relations at an international level” is incomplete, as is the example beginning “For example, an employee working tirelessly.” Review agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries, and ensure that examples are expressed as complete sentences. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen the response.
