Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years a lot of large international companies offer their employee the opportunity to spend a period of time living and working in another nation. According to my opinion this opportunity is beneficial for both employees and organization.
Working in a different country helps the employee to enhance their technical skills and interpersonal skills. In a huge multinational company their might be people from different place and background, each has their own expertise and knowledge, so the staff after moving to a different company will learn new things related to their job, which they were lacking or wasn't aware of and develop interpersonal skills by talking to different people and learning from them. For example I am a Dietitian, I specialize in lifestyle disorders such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, if my company moves me to a different company in another country, which specialises in gut health or weight management I might be able to learn those condition which is better for my career and knowledge growth.
On the other hand, it is beneficial for the company too, once the duration of time in different company ends, the employee would have learnt different skills and knowledge, which is beneficial for the company's growth and could be a potential skill that was missing. For instance, as mentioned earlier I specialize in lifestyle disorders, but after learning from the different company regarding the gut health and weight management I would be able to handle clients with gut related health issues and having problem in losing weight, so this helps the company to generate more revenue and taking those cases too.
In conclusion, offering employees to work and live in large multinational companies in another country for a period of time benefits both employee and the company.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses both questions and maintains a clear position that the opportunity benefits employees and companies. The employee benefits are explained through learning technical skills and developing interpersonal skills, while the company benefit is linked to gaining expertise and potentially serving more clients. The dietitian example makes these points relevant and specific. However, the discussion of company advantages is less fully developed: it focuses mainly on revenue and handling additional cases, with little exploration of other possible gains, such as stronger international collaboration or improved understanding of overseas markets. The explanation of how employees learn from colleagues could also be made more precise. More balanced development and a clearer range of supporting reasons would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a coherent overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on employee and company benefits, and a conclusion. The progression from learning new expertise to applying it for the company is easy to follow, and phrases such as “On the other hand” and “For instance” help signal relationships between ideas. Some cohesion is less controlled, however. The long sentence beginning “In a huge multinational company” contains several linked points, making the reasoning harder to track, and “different company” is repeated in ways that can make references unclear. The conclusion restates the main position but adds little synthesis. Breaking up the longest sentences and using clearer references to the overseas placement would make the organisation more fluent and less mechanical.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for explaining the topic, and the response uses relevant terms such as “technical skills,” “interpersonal skills,” “expertise,” and “generate more revenue.” The dietitian example also allows some topic-specific language, including “lifestyle disorders” and “weight management.” There are, however, several inaccurate or unnatural choices that limit precision: “their employee” should refer to employees in the plural, “different place and background” is not idiomatic, and “learn those condition” has an incorrect form. Phrases such as “knowledge growth” and “gut related health issues” could also be expressed more naturally. Aim for accurate collocations and varied wording rather than repeating “different company” and “beneficial.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response attempts both simple and complex structures, including conditional sentences such as “if my company moves me…” and clauses explaining how new skills could help the organisation. Meaning is generally clear, but some grammatical errors remain across the response. Examples include “a lot of large international companies offer” after the past-time opening, “their might be people,” and “each has their own expertise,” where agreement and reference are not controlled. The sentence beginning “For example I am a Dietitian” also runs through several ideas without clear sentence boundaries, and “I might be able to learn those condition” contains a number error. Improve tense consistency, subject–verb agreement, articles and plurals, and use punctuation to separate the example’s details. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen control.
