Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both questions in a basic way: you mention employees gaining skills and experience, and you describe benefits such as accommodation, salary and transport. Your personal example as a butcher in the Philippines and the UK is relevant and gives the response a clear connection to the topic. However, the advantages are mostly listed rather than explained. For example, explain how working abroad develops employees’ skills or confidence, and how this benefits a company through improved expertise, knowledge-sharing or staff retention. The company section focuses mainly on benefits offered to you, rather than advantages the company gains. The opening also spends space introducing yourself and your plans instead of establishing a direct answer. Develop and support each part of the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has some paragraphing, and the personal account gives it a recognisable sequence: you describe your work in the Philippines before explaining your move to the UK. Basic links such as “because” and “but” help connect a few ideas. However, the overall progression is not clear: the personal introduction, general comments about workers, employee benefits and company advantages do not build into a well-organised argument. The paragraph about company advantages is especially unclear because it lists what the employer provides without showing how these help the company. Use separate, focused paragraphs for employee benefits, company benefits and your example, and connect each point to the question. Clear topic sentences and more precise links between ideas would make the response easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate basic ideas, including “gain more skills,” “experience,” “salary,” “food preparation” and “sanitizing.” Your account also includes specific work terms such as “butcher” and “debone,” which make the example concrete. However, the range is limited and some expressions are imprecise or repetitive, such as “good future plan” and “the company advantages was a lot of benefits.” Spelling errors, including “profesional,” “teqniques” and “accommodation,” are noticeable and reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise phrases that distinguish what employees gain from what companies gain, and check spelling carefully. More varied vocabulary for professional development and business outcomes would help you explain your ideas with greater precision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the sequence describing your previous work includes several details in one sentence. However, the range is limited, and errors are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “I'm from the philippines that now working here” is missing a suitable relative clause and verb form, while “The company advantages was” has problems with agreement and sentence construction. Verb forms also shift in “i worked there… i work there,” and long sentences often run together without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences with a subject and verb, and use full stops to separate complete ideas. Then add controlled complex structures, such as sentences explaining how an employee’s experience benefits an employer.
