Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions and maintain a relevant focus on the benefits of overseas work. For employees, you identify skill development, learning about another culture, improved communication and confidence. For companies, you mention international experience, new ideas and stronger relationships with other firms. These are appropriate points, and the example of a BBC survey attempts to support the company-related discussion. However, some ideas are less fully explained than others: for example, the link between international experience and “new employment opportunities” is unclear, and the company benefits could be developed with a more specific explanation of how overseas experience improves performance or business outcomes. Clarifying and extending these points would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for employee and company benefits, and a conclusion. Paragraph openings such as “To begin with” and “Turning towards” help signal the direction of the discussion, and the main ideas generally follow a sensible order. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “Despite from this” does not accurately introduce the next point, while “these merits are came from” makes the relationship between the company’s benefits and international experience difficult to follow. The conclusion also shifts back to employee productivity without summarising the company advantages. Use linking phrases that express the precise relationship between ideas, and ensure each paragraph develops one clear line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “international experience,” “communication skills,” “motivational,” and “relationships,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are noticeable throughout, including “adavnatages,” “thier,” “employemnt,” and “interantioanl.” Some combinations are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “a sense of strong motivational,” “gain international experience” followed by “they came back,” and “they have a more offer.” These issues sometimes make the message harder to interpret. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, such as “develop confidence,” “gain valuable experience,” and “strengthen business relationships,” before using less familiar vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and attempts at more complex structures, including “people not only improve… but also…” and clauses beginning with “which” and “Due to this.” This gives the response some variety, and the main message is usually recoverable. However, some errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation remain. Examples include “It is common to see employee to travel,” “offer opportunity,” and “these merits are came from”; the final example also shows an incorrect verb construction. Commas are sometimes placed awkwardly, as in “which leads to that, they improve their skills.” Practise accurate patterns such as “employees travel,” “offer their staff the opportunity,” and “these benefits come from,” then proofread each sentence for complete, correctly formed clauses.
