Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both questions in a general way: employee benefits include learning to work with people of different nationalities, developing skills, and earning a higher salary. However, the response only partially fulfils the task because the advantages for companies are not explained. The introduction promises to discuss “advantages and disadvantages,” although the prompt asks about benefits for employees and companies, and the body focuses almost entirely on employees. The examples about Delhi and the UAE are broad and do not clearly show how the stated benefits arise. To strengthen the response, explain specific company gains, such as transferring expertise between offices, improving international teamwork, or building local market knowledge, and support each point with a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphs also use signposts such as “On the one hand,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude,” so the reader can identify the main stages. However, progression is limited: both body paragraphs mainly list employee benefits, and the second paragraph’s opening, “In other hand,” does not establish a clear contrast or introduce the company advantages requested. Some links are mechanical or unclear, particularly “For example” followed by a general claim about companies in Delhi. Organise the body around the two parts of the question, and make each example directly support the paragraph’s main point. Clearer referencing and more purposeful transitions would improve the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a basic range of topic-related vocabulary, including “staff,” “skills,” “salary,” “companies,” and “nationalities,” which generally makes your meaning understandable. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “high profile” and “permanent residency,” but some combinations are inaccurate or imprecise: “work on high profile,” “good amount of money,” and “culture rituals” do not sound natural in context. Frequent spelling errors, including “encourge,” “oppurunity,” “forgein,” and “nationalties,” are noticeable and sometimes slow the reader. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations as complete phrases, for example “gain international experience,” “earn a higher salary,” and “adapt to a different culture.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, using connectors such as “because,” “if,” and “so,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine ideas often contain frequent grammatical errors. For example, “if company like their work they will offer them to permanent residency” has problems with articles, agreement, and sentence structure; “there is many advantages” also shows subject–verb disagreement. Other patterns include missing articles and incorrect plural forms, as in “in another countries.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a subordinate clause, then check agreement, articles, and plural nouns. More reliable control of these basics will make your ideas easier to follow.
