Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays many large Mutinational companies offer their employees the opportunity to spend a period of time living and working in another nation. This exposure will be excellent opportunity for staff as it will provide them with more experience. Companies will also benefit from this, as they will have more backups in case of exit and they will also have staff with more experience.
This will be good opportunity for the employees as they will gain more exposure. when a person works in a different country they learn many dfferent things and the experience they gain is not the same as their country. They can add this experience on the resume and use it to their advantage to find the better opportunity in future. For example, he/she will have more options to apply in their own country or in the nation they have gained some experience.
This setting also provide advantages to company. First, the employees who have more exposure will be able to generate better ideas to mange their tasks. The company provide their staff with this opportunity where they learn new things or ways to work efficiently. Second, its help organisation to create more backup incase of sudden exit of an employee in any branch. For instance, if a company has a branch in India and US, and there is exit of any staff in the US, it has more options to either replace from the US or Indian branch.
To conclude, this setting is benefical for both companies and employees. Staff will gain more experience which they can use it for their professional growth. organizations have backups in case of emergency and will have employees who have good knowledge and experience.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both questions and maintains a clear overall position: overseas experience benefits employees and gives companies a more adaptable workforce. The employee benefit is explained through learning new ways of working and improving future career options, while the company benefits include better ideas and cover when a staff member leaves. The India–US example makes the backup point more concrete. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others: the claim that employees can find “the better opportunity” is not explained in much detail, and the company’s benefits could be linked more clearly to business outcomes. The conclusion summarises the main points but adds little development.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for employees and companies, and a conclusion. The progression from employee benefits to company advantages is easy to follow, and signposts such as “First,” “Second,” and “To conclude” help identify the stages of the argument. Cohesion is sometimes mechanical, however, and some references are unclear. For example, “This setting” is an imprecise way to refer to the opportunity to work abroad, while “it” in “they can use it” has an unclear antecedent. The second paragraph also repeats the idea of gaining “more exposure” without adding much at first. Use clearer referencing and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main ideas, with relevant terms such as “professional growth,” “generate better ideas,” and “replace.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, or collocation errors reduce precision: “Mutinational,” “dfferent,” “mange,” and “benefical” are examples. Some phrases are also awkward or vague, including “more backups,” “the better opportunity,” and “this setting.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding the argument, but they make it less natural and exact. Aim to use more precise workplace vocabulary and check spelling carefully; for instance, describe a “pool of employees able to cover vacancies” rather than “more backups.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, and most ideas remain understandable. There are some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “This will be good opportunity” needs an article, and “This setting also provide advantages” has a subject–verb agreement error. In “Staff will gain more experience which they can use it,” the relative clause contains an unnecessary object pronoun. The sentence beginning “when a person works” also needs a capital letter after the full stop. These errors are generally local rather than meaning-blocking. To improve, proofread for articles and agreement, and practise forming relative clauses and conditional examples accurately.
