Student answer (Band 4.5)

Since business trips has become a regulatory practise for most of the employees, some of the businesses give opportunity to their workers to give them the exposure of international techniques used in the business. There are relative benefits to this situation.

Providing shelter and the employement opportunities in abroad could be beneficials for the workers in several ways. First and foremost, they can be more productive. Most of the employees usually complain about the repetative schedule. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

The response identifies possible benefits for employees, including greater productivity, learning new ways to work, and psychological development. However, it addresses the task only partially: the discussion stops mid-sentence at “Most of the workers get depressed by performing sa…”, and it gives no explanation of the advantages for companies. The opening also focuses on business trips rather than clearly explaining the opportunity to live and work abroad. The ideas that are present are brief and unsupported by examples, so the reader cannot see how international experience benefits workers in practice. To improve, answer both questions explicitly, develop each benefit with a reason or example, and complete the response. The required minimum length is not met, which contributes to the limited coverage.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an introductory paragraph is followed by a paragraph about employees, and “First and foremost” and “Secondly” signal two points. This gives the reader some sense of direction. However, the overall progression is incomplete because the response ends abruptly and never moves to the company-focused part of the task. Connections between ideas are also sometimes unclear; for example, the opening sentence about business trips does not lead smoothly into the claim about offering international work. The employee paragraph contains several ideas but does not explain their links or conclude them. Use a clear paragraph for each part of the question, connect each claim to its explanation, and finish with a concluding sentence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response uses some relevant vocabulary, including “international techniques,” “productive,” “different culture,” and “psychological development,” showing an attempt to discuss workplace and personal benefits. However, the range is limited, and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “regulatory practise,” “beneficials,” and “repetative schedule.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. There is also repetition of general terms such as “workers” and “employees,” with little precise vocabulary for company advantages. Build a more accurate range around ideas such as professional skills, cross-cultural experience, staff retention, and international markets. Check spelling and use words in their correct forms, especially when changing nouns into adjectives.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “by sending them into a different culture, they can learn new ways to perform their duties.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur in basic sentence patterns. For example, “business trips has become” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “give opportunity to their workers to give them” has an unclear structure and repeated verb. “doing same job everydays” also lacks an article and has an incorrect plural form. The final sentence is incomplete, ending with “performing sa…”, which prevents the idea from being understood. Practise accurate agreement, articles, and complete sentence construction before adding more complex clauses; then proofread to ensure every sentence is finished.
