Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions and give a relevant overall position: overseas work can develop employees and help companies improve profits and product quality. The employee benefits are supported with examples such as managing finances and laundry, and you explain that workers may bring new methods back to their home industries. However, these ideas remain limited and under-developed; for instance, the company benefits are asserted rather than illustrated with a specific example or a clear explanation of how international experience improves performance. The conclusion repeats the main points without adding development. The response is also 60 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. Develop each advantage with a clear cause-and-effect explanation and a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic, recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for employees and companies, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help identify the two parts of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, the move from workers learning methods in global companies to applying that knowledge in their home country is not fully explained. The company paragraph also breaks into a separate line beginning “companies can improve,” which weakens paragraph unity. Capitalisation and spacing are inconsistent, and the conclusion largely repeats earlier claims. Use clearer links between each claim, explanation, and example, and keep related points together in well-shaped paragraphs.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “global exposure,” “independent,” “responsible,” “product quality,” and “profits.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and there is an attempt to use less common language such as “informed decisions.” However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy: “increaseingly,” “opporunities,” “participatinng,” “globalistaion,” and “utilsing.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “significant valuable skills,” “apply that learning knowledge,” and “focusing on better techniques.” Aim for accurate collocations and more precise terms for the benefits to businesses, such as knowledge transfer, international markets, and productivity. Proofreading would help prevent spelling errors from distracting the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including the example sentence beginning “For example” and the result clause “As a result, people can become more confident.” Most of the intended meaning is understandable, but control is uneven. For example, “many companies are … providing” needs a correctly formed adverb, while “companies could improve their balance sheets by focusing” is followed by an unclear sentence structure. There are also errors in articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “benefits to company” and the lower-case “workers” after a full stop. Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, including the space before the full stop after “profits.” Build accuracy in basic sentence patterns first, then use complex clauses to explain how each benefit occurs.
