Student answer (Band 6.0)
Several international firms offer their employee the opportunity to work and spend some time in their off-shore branches. These initiative often open a number of new opportunities for the employees. It has also been proved to be very beneficial for the company as well. In this essay I will argue how such programs benefits both the worker and the company.
Every country has its own work environment and work ethics. The transfer staff has an opportunity to learn new skills in this new environment. Like, how international market works, what are the demands of the public and how companys meet these demands. For example, if a pharmaceutical company sends their employees to its international branch to learn how they control the quality and the quantity of the product, this gives them opportunity to refine and polish their skills. Moreover, they get a chance to interact with new people and build business relations.
On the other hand, companies also benefit from such programs. Employee who learns new skills share their experience with other staff members. This improves the company's overall productivity. Moreover, such valuable employees are the assets for the company and contributes to its development and progress. Such initiatives also build a company's reputation in the market because of having internationally trained staff.
In conclusion, sending the staff to international market has advantages for both employees and company. Overseas exposure train the staff, this highly competent staff consequently contributes to the corporation's progress. These transfer programs gives international recognition to employees as well as the company.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses both questions and maintains a clear position: overseas placements can develop employees and benefit companies. The employee benefits are supported with relevant examples, particularly learning about international markets and quality control, while the company benefits include knowledge-sharing, productivity and reputation. This gives the answer a solid, relevant foundation. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that international experience builds business relations could be linked more clearly to employees’ future work, and the company’s reputational advantage is not illustrated. To strengthen the response, explain the practical consequences of each benefit and develop at least one example for the company side. The coverage is effective overall, though the two parts are not equally developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for employee and company benefits, and a conclusion that restates the main position. The progression from learning new skills to sharing them with colleagues is logical, and signposts such as “Moreover” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the discussion. Some linking is mechanical, however, with “Moreover” repeated and several sentences beginning with “Such” or “This.” The reference in “This improves the company’s overall productivity” is understandable, but the connection between the preceding ideas could be made more explicit. Use a wider range of transitions and connect examples directly to the point they support to make the flow more flexible and precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The response uses an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “work environment,” “international market,” “quality,” “productivity,” and “reputation.” Phrases such as “refine and polish their skills” and “internationally trained staff” show an attempt to use more specific language. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, though: “off-shore branches” is not the most natural term here, “transfer staff” is unclear, and “international recognition to employees” does not precisely express the intended benefit. There are also spelling or form errors, including “companys.” Aim for more precise business vocabulary and check common collocations and spelling; this would make the ideas sound more natural without changing their meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “if a pharmaceutical company sends…” and a relative clause in “employees who learns new skills.” Most sentences remain understandable, but some errors in agreement, articles and verb forms recur. For example, “These initiative often open” needs plural agreement, “such programs benefits” has a singular/plural mismatch, and “Overseas exposure train the staff” should use a verb agreeing with the singular subject. The sentence fragment “Like, how international market works…” also interrupts the grammatical flow; it could be joined to the preceding sentence. Review subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries, while continuing to use complex structures, to improve accuracy.
