Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you outline your accounting studies and previous role, identify areas where you want support, and invite John to arrange a meeting. The examples of audit reports, tax returns, and registration work make your background relevant. However, the help you hope to receive is not fully explained: “I probably need your help in that case” is vague, and you could specify what you want to learn about company accounting or auditing. The meeting suggestion is also incomplete because you give your availability but do not propose a particular day, time, or format. Developing these points more clearly would make the letter more complete and purposeful.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it moves from your background to the support you need and then to meeting arrangements. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “However” show relationships between ideas. This meets the lower-band expectation of clear overall organisation and also shows some flexibility in connecting information. At times, though, the links feel mechanical or the progression is interrupted: “Not only that but I also…” adds another detail without a clear reason, while the closing shifts abruptly from meeting availability to thanks. Use transitions selectively and connect each paragraph’s details to its main purpose.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for your work background, including “junior accountant,” “audit report,” “Income Tax Returns,” and “GST number,” so the reader can understand the general subject of your experience. However, the range is limited and several spelling or word-choice errors are noticeable, including “asscoation,” “accoutant,” “comapny,” and “filling procedure.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “some information of my education” and “experience in Individual accounting.” These issues make parts of the letter less clear and keep the vocabulary from being consistently appropriate. Check spelling carefully and learn common professional collocations, such as “accounting experience” and “filing tax returns.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mixture of simple sentences and some more developed structures, including “Although”/“However”-type contrast and “Could you please let me know…” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in sentence boundaries, verb forms, articles, and punctuation. For example, “experience.I” needs a space after the full stop, “I was working” would be more natural as “I worked” for a completed previous job, and “I am waiting to meet you” is not the appropriate construction for expressing anticipation. The closing “Thank you so much. waiting for your response” also begins a sentence without a capital letter and has an incomplete structure. Review past-tense descriptions and sentence punctuation to improve control.
