Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You successfully covered all parts of the letter prompt. You introduced yourself to your mentor Isabella, provided a brief outline of your previous studies (finishing a master's in health care management) and work experience (working as an administrator and personal caregiver), explained the help you hope to receive regarding your leadership growth plan and training, and suggested a meeting time for next month. The tone is appropriately polite and semi-formal for a workplace correspondence. All bullet points are fully addressed with relevant, coherent details, fulfilling all requirements of the General Training Task 1 prompt to a solid standard.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

Your letter is clearly structured with an appropriate opening and closing, and you have organised your ideas into logical paragraphs. Each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the prompt: introduction, background details, mentoring goals, and meeting arrangements. You make use of cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'Furthermore'. However, some of these transitions are slightly mechanical or repetitive, such as starting consecutive paragraphs with 'However', which detracts slightly from a completely natural flow. Overall, the organisation is logical and the progression of ideas is easy to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You demonstrated a sufficient range of vocabulary to communicate your message effectively, using terms such as 'organization', 'personal caregiver', 'carrer growth' (spelled 'career'), and 'indepth outline'. There are some minor lexical and spelling slips, such as 'carrer' instead of 'career' and 'masters' instead of 'Master's degree'. You attempted less common phrases like 'aligns with my education', which shows ambition, though word choice occasionally lacks precision, such as writing 'had an experience working' instead of 'gained experience working'. Communication is never impeded, and the vocabulary is adequate for the task.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You used a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, including conditional and subordinate clauses like 'Even, If you could help me with any kind of training that relates to my growth, it would be appreciated.' However, there are several noticeable grammatical errors and awkward punctuation choices, such as 'last month, I have joined' (should be 'I joined'), 'we must have to choose' (should be 'we have to choose'), and the fragment starting with 'Even, If...'. Preposition and tense control show occasional instability. Despite these errors, your meaning remains clear throughout, placing your grammatical control firmly at a competent level.
