During my studies I was offered a job by H&C organization for maintaing their quick books. Although I had worked two years for them which had benefit me in learning new required skills.
I am hired as an internal auditor now. I am not sure what exactly my all responsibilities would be and I formally request you to introduce me with everything I am responsible for. Moreover, I have heard our office infrastructure is huge Therefore, I would be grateful if you can give me a tour of it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The candidate addresses all bullet points required by the task prompt. First, the writer gives a brief outline of previous studies and work experience, mentioning graduation from Centennial College in 2023 and working for H&C organization. Second, the writer explains the help hoped for from the mentor, specifically requesting clarification on job responsibilities and an office tour. Third, the writer suggests arrangements for a first meeting by proposing to visit a nearby coffee shop. However, the opening line contains an inappropriate register slip by calling the mentor a "subordinate" instead of a supervisor or senior colleague. Overall, all parts of the task are adequately covered, fulfilling the criteria for a Band 6.5 or solid 6.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical arrangement with a clear beginning, middle, and end, using paragraphing appropriately to separate different points. Cohesive devices are used adequately, such as "After that", "Although", and "Moreover", though referencing is occasionally faulty, as seen in the phrase "tour of it" where the antecedent "office infrastructure" is slightly awkward. Paragraphs are well-structured and transition reasonably well from the past studies into current duties and future meeting arrangements, ensuring that the reader can follow the writer's intent without confusion. This places the response comfortably at Band 6.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, attempting some less common business and workplace terms such as "internal auditor", "responsibilities", and "infrastructure". However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation errors that detract from precision. For example, writing "introduce myself as your subordinate" is semantically incorrect since the mentor is the senior colleague, not the other way around. Other minor errors include "maintaing" (spelling) and "benefit me" instead of "benefited me". Despite these limitations, communication is not impeded, fitting the Band 6 descriptor well.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating control over basic structures. There are several grammatical errors and awkward phrasings throughout the text, such as "I a writing" (typo for am), "got finished my school" or "finished my school", "got graduated", and "I look foward to hear back from you" (missing 'ing' in hearing). Additionally, the sentence "Although I had worked two years for them which had benefit me..." is structurally incomplete and incorrect due to the dangling clause. These errors persist but rarely impede overall communication, aligning with the Band 6 descriptor.
