Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three requested points: you outline your Business Management degree and three years of work, explain that you want help organising reports, and propose meeting at a café before your first day. These details make the letter relevant and give the mentor a clear sense of your needs. The request for support is specific, but the study and work background could be clearer—for example, the role at Raise Company and the reason for leaving are mentioned without much detail. The meeting suggestion also needs a practical arrangement, such as a proposed date or time, and a more direct question about the mentor’s availability. This covers the task well overall, while some points remain less fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall sequence: introduction and background, the support you hope to receive, and a proposed first meeting. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and phrases such as “After my degree completion” and “For our first meeting” guide the reader through the message. Some connections are less smooth or precise, however. “Before our meeting” appears before any meeting has been arranged, and “And i had to resign” begins a sentence with a link that does not clearly show how the move relates to the previous information. The final meeting proposal combines several purposes in one sentence. Use clearer transitions and separate the proposed meeting details from what you want to discuss there.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main information, including “degree in Business Management,” “assistant,” “organizing the report,” and “first day of work.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural, which can make parts of the letter less clear. For example, “passed the interview” does not naturally express that you were hired, and “get a lot of experience from you” is vague for describing a mentor’s support. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “recentlly,” “posotion,” “Calgery,” and “guidence.” Aim for accurate workplace expressions and check spelling carefully; this will make your meaning more precise and professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the reader can generally follow the main message. However, grammatical control is uneven, with errors in sentence boundaries, verb patterns, articles, and prepositions. For example, “I started working Raise company” needs a grammatical link before the company name, while “help me to improve it” has an unclear pronoun reference. The sentence beginning “There are some area that i hope…” also needs agreement and a clearer structure. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly after full stops and in the closing. Practise building accurate sentences with clauses such as “I hope you can help me to…” and proofread each sentence for its subject, verb, and required articles.
