Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: you outline your master’s and M.Phil. studies and teaching experience, explain that you want guidance with the new workplace and syllabus, and propose meeting on campus. The purpose is clear and the details are relevant. The request for help is the strongest part, especially your reference to the changed intermediate course, while the study and work outline could be more specific about your role or responsibilities. The meeting suggestion is also somewhat general: proposing a room and asking when the mentor is available gives a starting point, but a preferred day or time would make the arrangement more complete. Overall, the letter covers the task, though some points are developed more fully than others.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter follows a sensible sequence: introduction, background, request for support, and meeting arrangements. Paragraphing helps the reader identify these stages, and links such as “Moreover” and “So” show how some ideas relate. However, a few connections are abrupt or unclear. For example, “As I have joinned this new institute” leads into several requests without clearly separating workplace guidance from syllabus support, and “So, I will satisfy my students” does not explain the intended outcome precisely. The meeting paragraph repeats the idea of arranging a meeting and could progress more directly from location to a proposed time. Clearer links and more precise referencing would make the overall flow smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the workplace and teaching context, including “career,” “teaching methodologies,” “classroom decorum,” and “syllabus.” These choices communicate your background and the support you need. However, several word choices or collocations are unnatural or imprecise, such as “work under your assistance,” “students effective engagements,” and “live session together.” Spelling and form errors, including “sayllabus” and “convinient,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural professional phrases and check spelling carefully; for example, you could say that you hope to “benefit from your guidance” and would like to “discuss the syllabus.” This would make your meaning more fluent and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including “As I have joinned this new institute, I request you…” and “It is better to arrange a meeting… so we may…”. The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. Examples include “I have joinned” instead of a correct present-perfect form, “After my M.phil, I started job” where an article is needed, and “the course of intermediate has been also changed,” which has awkward word order. Capitalisation and punctuation also need attention, as in the lowercase “i” and the run-on sentence after “experienced.” Review verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries, while continuing to use a mix of sentence structures.
