Dear Jazz,
I am writing this letter for sharing the information with you which can help me to achive the better career infuture.
I am new joing in this company as a Dispatcher and starts the work from last Monday. Yesterday, HR of our company told me that your are a senior and experienced worker here from last Twenty years and I should share my profile and experience with you which would help me to grow in this farm as you are good in mentoring and advising.
I hold three year degree in Project managment and then started working in IFS a big trucking company in Ontario where almost completed 3 year as a juniour Dispatcher.
I carry a vast knowldge in excel and sheets but little bit weak in truckmate so it would be beneficial for me if you could share a tips and information related to this.
Friday evening would be better for us as I know that you have less work on that day and we can do conversation without any intrepution.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.\
Your faithfully,

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you outline your project management degree and dispatching experience, explain that you want help with TruckMate, and suggest Friday evening for a first meeting. These details make the letter relevant and give the mentor a useful introduction. However, the request for support is quite narrow and could be developed by explaining what you want to learn in the role, such as handling dispatch problems or understanding company procedures. The meeting suggestion also gives no specific time or place, and the claim that Friday is quieter is presented without checking the mentor’s availability. A more complete letter would develop these points and make the proposed arrangement easier to accept or adjust.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a generally clear sequence: you introduce your purpose, describe your background, identify an area where you need support, and propose a meeting before closing. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages. Some connections, however, are awkward or unclear. For example, the long sentence beginning “Yesterday, HR of our company told me” combines the mentor’s experience, your profile, and your career goals, making the progression harder to follow. The opening also says you are writing to share information, while the reason for doing so could be stated more directly. Use shorter, focused sentences and clearer links between your background and the help you are seeking to make the organisation smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant workplace vocabulary, including “Dispatcher,” “Project management,” “trucking company,” and “mentoring,” so the reader can understand your professional background and needs. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the letter less natural: “achive,” “infuture,” “junior,” “knowledge,” and “interruption” are misspelled, while “grow in this farm” is an unsuitable phrase for career development. Some expressions, such as “share a tips and information,” are also not idiomatic. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common workplace collocations. More precise language for the support you want would also help you express your goals clearly and professionally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional request (“it would be beneficial for me if you could…”) and a reason clause about meeting on Friday. Some grammatical errors remain, though the main message is generally understandable. Examples include “I am new joing … and starts the work,” where the verb forms do not agree, and “your are a senior,” which has an incorrect verb form. In “I hold three year degree,” the article and plural form are missing. The sentence beginning “Yesterday, HR…” also has several clauses joined without clear control. Practise accurate present and past forms, articles, and plurals, and divide longer sentences into manageable units.
