Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: you outline your MBA and pharmaceutical experience, identify a specific area where you need support, and suggest a first meeting. The request to learn the Kroll system is relevant, and your availability and willingness to meet online make the arrangements practical. This meets the task well, but some details are less fully developed: for example, “at least 1 week training” does not explain what aspects of the software you need to learn, and your work history could clarify how your previous roles relate to your new position. Adding a little more detail to these points, while keeping the letter focused, would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear overall progression: you introduce yourself and your background, explain the support you want, then propose meeting arrangements and close politely. Separate paragraphs help the reader follow these stages, and phrases such as “I would like you to help me” and “However” connect ideas. Some links are less smooth, particularly the shift from your experience to your request for software training, which could be bridged by explaining how the training would help you settle into the role. The meeting paragraph also combines availability, enthusiasm, and the online option without specifying a preferred time. More precise sequencing and a clearer proposed appointment would strengthen the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for a workplace introduction, including relevant terms such as “Pharmacovigilance associate,” “junior pharmacist,” and “career” context through your request for training. The meaning is generally clear, but some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or informal, such as “appointed as your co-worker,” “I hire as,” and “give me at least 1 week training.” There are also spelling and form issues in “Jhonson,” “atleast,” and “Your Faithfully.” These do not prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and polish. Aim for natural professional phrases such as “I have joined the team as” and “provide me with a week of training,” and check names and conventional letter expressions carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, and several sentences communicate your background and availability clearly. However, some grammatical errors remain, including the incomplete construction “I hire as a Pharmacovigilance associate” and the faulty coordination in “I would like you to help me to learn this skill and will give me.” The opening also has a comma splice in “My name is Sakshi Singh, I have recently been appointed,” while “I am available from 9 am -5 pm in the office” needs a clearer preposition and punctuation. These issues are usually understandable, but they limit accuracy. Use complete clauses, maintain consistent subjects, and proofread sentence boundaries and verb forms.
