Dear Harshi madam,

I have a 1 year of experience from the local hospital of my town and now I want to explore more hospital to gain further experience.

As my mentor, I will be thankful to you if you will help me to expand my knowledge and professional skills. Under your guidence I will be learning new things. So, kindly assist me along with you and I promise I will be a good staff and teammate.

Regarding our first meet, I would suggest you to please meet me in the conference room on weekend at 10 a.m. Thank you for accepting my invitation. See you soon.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three requested points: you outline your nursing degree and one year of hospital experience, explain that you want to develop your knowledge and professional skills, and propose a time and place for a first meeting. The purpose is clear and the details are relevant. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, “help me to expand my knowledge and professional skills” is quite general; you could specify whether you want guidance on hospital procedures, patient care, or settling into the team. The meeting suggestion also needs practical clarification, such as which weekend and whether 10 a.m. suits your mentor. A little more specific development would make the letter more complete and purposeful.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall arrangement: you introduce yourself, describe your background, explain the support you hope to receive, and finish with a meeting proposal. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and phrases such as “Initially,” “As my mentor,” and “Regarding our first meet” signal the topic of each section. This meets the expected level of coherent organisation. Some linking is a little mechanical, however, and the opening moves quickly from your name and new role to compliments about the mentor before the background is introduced. The closing also shifts abruptly from the proposed meeting to thanks. Smoother transitions and a more natural sequence of details would strengthen the progression further.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main information, including relevant terms such as “entrance exam,” “BSc. Nursing,” “professional skills,” and “experience.” There are also attempts at more formal expressions, such as “It will be my pleasure” and “Under your guidance.” However, several word choices, collocations, and spelling forms are inaccurate or unnatural, including “cracked the entrance exam,” “got graduated,” “Batchelors,” and “first meet.” “Assist me along with you” is also unclear. These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding the letter, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Aim for standard workplace expressions and check spelling, especially for academic and professional vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, and the reader can generally understand your meaning. For instance, the sentence beginning “I am Hemanshi…” combines your introduction with information about your recruitment, while “As my mentor…” introduces a dependent clause. Some grammatical errors remain, though they rarely block communication. Examples include “I have a 1 year of experience,” “if you will help me,” and “I would suggest you to please meet me”; these involve article or number use and sentence patterns. The long opening sentence would also be clearer if divided or punctuated more carefully. Review verb patterns after expressions such as “suggest,” and practise accurate articles and conditional requests to improve control.
