Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three required points: you mention your master’s degree and pharmacy-assistant experience, explain that you want help managing responsibilities and handling common problems, and propose a first meeting. The purpose and tone are appropriate for writing to a mentor. However, the background is brief, and the help you request remains general; for example, you could identify a particular skill or workplace challenge you want to develop. The meeting suggestion also needs a clearer arrangement, such as a specific time and a more natural way to confirm the location. The response is one word below the stated minimum, so add a little relevant detail to meet the requirement and develop the ideas more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The letter is organised in a clear sequence: introduction, background, request for guidance, and meeting arrangements. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “For our first meeting” make the progression easy to understand. The closing is also appropriate. To make the flow more natural, connect the details within the background paragraph rather than presenting several short statements in succession. The transition to the meeting proposal could also be smoother, and the final request for the mentor’s opinion could specify what response you need. Overall, the organisation is clear, with some scope to use connections and references more flexibly.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use a suitable range of workplace and professional vocabulary, including “regulatory affairs,” “work responsibilities,” “document management,” and “guidance.” These choices communicate your background and aims clearly. There are, however, some inaccurate or unnatural word choices and collocations, such as “basic to advanced knowledge about pharmacy softwares” and “tips about common problems.” Spelling errors in “entery” and “softwares” also affect accuracy. Aim for more natural phrasing and precise terms—for instance, describe your level of familiarity with pharmacy software and ask about challenges commonly faced by new employees. This would make the letter sound more fluent and professionally appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple sentences and more developed structures, including “I would really appreciate if you could guide me…” and “We can also plan online meeting if it is work for you.” The message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in articles, verb forms, and sentence patterns. Examples include “I have a three years of work experience,” “it would be grateful,” and “I am looking forward to hear from you.” The meeting sentence also needs a clearer conditional structure. Review article use, singular and plural forms, and verb patterns after expressions such as “look forward to.” More accurate control of these forms would strengthen an otherwise clear letter.
