Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three requirements: you outline your business-management diploma and purchasing experience, identify areas where you want support, and propose a first meeting. The request for help with negotiation and Excel skills is relevant, and the proposed Monday meeting gives a clear starting point. This fully covers the task’s main elements, while the explanation of the support you need is less developed: for example, “difficulties faced in early 30 days” does not specify what challenges you anticipate or how your mentor could help. The meeting arrangement could also be more collaborative by asking whether that time suits Sumit or offering an alternative. More detail in these areas would make the letter’s purpose more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The letter has a clear progression: you introduce yourself, describe your background, explain the guidance you want, and close with a meeting request. Paragraphing supports this sequence, and phrases such as “After completing my studies” help connect your education to your work experience. The opening and closing also suit the purpose of a personal workplace letter. Some links between ideas are abrupt, however, particularly the list of skills after “where I gained knowledge” and the shift from your requested guidance to the meeting proposal. The long list of support areas would be easier to follow if grouped or expressed in a complete sentence. Smoother transitions and clearer links between your needs and the proposed meeting would strengthen the progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use relevant workplace vocabulary, including “Purchase Coordinator,” “inventory management,” “Cost Analysis,” and “Material Planning,” which makes your background and goals clear. There is also an attempt to use more specific terms such as “negotiation skills.” However, some word choices and collocations are imprecise: “gained knowledge for Purchasing” would be more natural as “gained experience in purchasing,” while “take advice from you” is better expressed as “receive advice from you.” “Difficulties faced in early 30 days on this role” is also unclear and awkwardly phrased. Spelling and capitalisation are inconsistent, including “Ananlysis” and “i.” More accurate collocations and careful proofreading would make your vocabulary more natural and precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

Your letter includes both simple sentences and some longer structures, such as “I completed my college diploma in business management, with a focus on purchasing and inventory management.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. In “for 1 year. where i gained knowledge,” the full stop incorrectly separates the dependent clause, and “where” should not begin a new sentence in this construction. The request “I would be thankful if you could arrange a meeting by next Monday at 1 pm. so…” also has an incorrect sentence break. Capitalisation of “I” is inconsistent, and the list of requested help is not integrated into a complete grammatical structure. Use complete sentences, check punctuation around clauses, and vary sentence patterns more confidently.
