Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three requested points: you outline your diploma and year of experience, explain that you want guidance on activities for different age groups and on progressing to educator, and suggest meeting at City Cafe. These details make the letter relevant and purposeful. The request for help is the strongest part, although the hoped-for support could be more specific—for example, asking about planning activities or handling particular workplace situations. The meeting proposal would also be clearer if you offered a day or time and invited your mentor to suggest an alternative. The opening and closing are appropriate in intent, but polishing the sign-off would make the letter feel more complete and professional.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter follows a sensible overall sequence: introduction and background, the support you hope to receive, then a proposed meeting. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and connectors such as “Moreover” and “Now” guide the reader through the message. This gives the response a coherent arrangement. Some links are less smooth or precise, however: “first of all” is followed by an awkward announcement, and “So” begins a sentence where the relationship to the previous idea could be expressed more naturally. The final meeting request and closing are also crowded together. To strengthen progression, use clearer transitions and separate the meeting proposal from the polite closing.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the workplace and childcare context, including “mentor,” “early childhood education,” “activities,” and “different ages.” This is enough to communicate the main ideas, but the range and control are limited, with noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “diploama,” “experence,” “actvities,” and “reponse”; “early childhood assist” is also not a natural job title. Phrases such as “in a good health” and “learn a lot form you” show imprecise expression. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations for professional letters, while varying repeated words such as “hope” and “work.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including “I hope you will guide me…” and the sentence beginning “Moreover.” The main message remains understandable, but grammatical control is uneven: several sentences contain errors in articles, verb patterns, or sentence construction. For example, “I am going to work under you” and “It is very kind of you if I can get a chance” do not express the intended relationship naturally, while “I am hoping that, I will learn” has an unnecessary comma and awkward clause structure. There are also inconsistent spaces around punctuation and sentence boundaries. Practise accurate sentence patterns for requests and future plans, and proofread articles, commas, and complete sentence structure.
