Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the main purpose by introducing yourself, mentioning your studies and work experience, explaining that you want support with confidence and skills, and proposing a meeting next week. However, these points are only partly developed: the study and employment details are difficult to interpret, and the help you want is described generally rather than with specific examples. The meeting suggestion is also unfinished: “Although I will be free nex” leaves the reader without your availability or a complete arrangement. The response is below the required 150 words, which limits how fully you can cover the requested points. Add relevant detail about your background, the guidance you need, and a clear time or alternative for meeting.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter follows a broadly sensible order: you introduce yourself and your background, then discuss mentoring, and finally suggest a meeting. This makes the overall purpose understandable. However, the first paragraph combines several details in a way that is hard to follow, particularly the link between studying public health and having work experience “in my previous studies.” The final sentence is cut off, disrupting the progression and leaving the meeting arrangements incomplete. Use clearer sentence boundaries and connect each idea explicitly—for example, separate your education from your employment history, then give your availability in a complete closing paragraph. The greeting and sign-off are appropriate, but paragraphing and clearer links between details would make the letter easier to read.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to a professional introduction, including “medical practitioner,” “public health,” “work experience,” and “mentor.” These choices help establish the context. However, several word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “a no governmental organization,” “medical researches,” and “help build my coonfidence.” “Skills I found about myself” also does not clearly express what you want to develop. These errors sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning, so aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than more complicated wording. Proofread spelling and choose collocations that clearly describe your studies, experience, and development goals.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including “I would suggest we arrange our first appointment next week or at your convenience.” However, grammatical errors are frequent and can make some information difficult to understand. For example, “I am Dr Bekes Jennifer a medical practitioner” needs clearer sentence structure and punctuation, while “I completely believe choosing you as my mentor to will be so beneficial” has an incorrect verb pattern. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “I have a 1 year of work experience.” The final clause is incomplete. Practise forming complete sentences, using infinitives and verb patterns accurately, and checking punctuation before submitting.
