Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The letter makes an attempt to introduce you and mention your studies, work experience, hoped-for support, and a first meeting. However, the details are often unclear or do not fulfil the purpose of writing to a mentor. For example, “three years stuies of computer technology” and work at a “well developed company” give only a vague outline, while “please arrangements for a first meeting with your mentor” does not propose a time or place. The request for help is also difficult to identify: “advice and suport will help your mentor can give success” is not a clear explanation of what you hope to learn. Develop each point with specific, relevant information and address the mentor directly throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.0
There is a recognisable letter format, with a greeting, body, and closing, and connectors such as “Furthermore” and “Here” show an attempt to link ideas. However, the information does not progress in a clear sequence: study and work details, advice, meeting arrangements, and digital skills are mixed together. Several references are confusing, particularly “I am new at your work place, here i gives them advice,” which makes it unclear who is giving advice. The long body paragraph also makes the separate task points hard to follow. Organise the letter into short paragraphs—introduction and background, the support you seek, and a specific meeting proposal—and use linking words only where they clarify the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to work and professional development, including “computer technology,” “experience,” “career,” and “modern skills.” There are also attempts at more descriptive expressions, such as “well developed company” and “solid ideas.” However, inaccurate spelling and word choice frequently make the message difficult to understand: “colleage,” “suport,” “praject,” and “aideas” are examples, while “fully energatic policy” does not communicate a clear meaning in this context. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “move on digitally on laptop device.” Build a reliable set of workplace collocations and check spelling; for example, describe your projects clearly and state the professional skills or guidance you want to develop.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a sentence starting “Furthermore.” However, control of basic sentence structure is inconsistent, and errors often obscure who is doing what. Examples include “I hope all are on doing well,” “I am a new colleage who have,” and “here i gives them advice,” where verb forms and subject–verb agreement are faulty. The sentence “advice and suport will help your mentor can give success” also combines clauses without a workable grammatical structure. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, especially in the long body paragraph. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then connect them with correctly formed clauses and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
