Student answer (Band 5.5)

Vitamins are very important for healthy life. I think buying vitamin pills is not a good habit instead eating healthy diet make us more physically fit than any other thing. I this essay, I will explain my opinion in detail.

Nowadays, natural and pure meat is very rare. It is very hard to find out food that is full of all essential vitamins. Due to modern lifestyle, a lot of industries and availability of machinery organic food is limited. People do not trust on the mechanism used for making material in factories due hygienic method they adopt. These are some reasons people spend a lot of money on vitamin pill instead of having diet. Another reason for trusting of medicine is that no one have free time to go personally in field.

Another reason is lack of awareness. Many people do not understand the long-term effect of their action, which makes the situation worse. For example, many citizens were not aware of dangers of fast food until public campaigns started to highlight health risk. This shows how lack of awareness can cause serious problem in society.

One solution is educate people through schools, media, and awareness programe. If people aree informed about the consequences of their action, they are more likely to change their behavior.

In conclusion, the main cause of buying vitamins related medecine instead of organic food are lack of awareness and weak government policies. However, these can be solved through public education and effective government action. If both people and government cooperate, the situation will improve.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions: you suggest that concerns about food quality, limited access to organic food and lack of time encourage pill-buying, then recommend education through schools and media. The example about public campaigns and fast food supports your point about awareness. However, the reasons are not always clearly explained: for instance, the link between factory production, distrust and spending on supplements is difficult to follow. The second part is also less developed; education is proposed, but you do not explain how campaigns could persuade people to change their diets or give a concrete example. Your conclusion introduces “weak government policies,” which has not been established in the essay. Develop and connect each main idea more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, a paragraph on awareness, a proposed solution and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “Another reason,” “For example” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within the reasons paragraph is uneven: the discussion moves from food quality to machinery, factory hygiene and lack of time without clearly showing how each point relates to buying pills. The solution paragraph is brief, and the conclusion adds government policies without preparing for that idea earlier. Some connections are also unclear, particularly “Another reason for trusting of medicine.” Use topic sentences and clearer references to show how each supporting point develops the paragraph’s main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “essential vitamins,” “organic food,” “long-term effect” and “public campaigns,” and the meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts to express more specific ideas about food production and public awareness. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “healthy life,” “trust on the mechanism,” “material in factories” and “vitamins related medecine.” Spelling errors, including “programe,” “aree” and “medecine,” also reduce accuracy. Build a more reliable range of natural phrases for this topic, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your explanations clearer and help distinguish supplements from medicines.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional sentence (“If people are informed…”) and a relative clause (“which makes the situation worse”). These structures help you explain causes and possible outcomes. However, errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms occur throughout and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “I this essay,” “a lot of industries and availability of machinery organic food is limited,” “no one have free time,” and “the main cause … are lack of awareness.” Articles, agreement, verb forms and sentence boundaries need more consistent control. Practise building clear subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking that each clause has a complete and correctly matched subject and verb.
