Student answer (Band 6.0)

In modern era, a diet is the main source to be a healthy person prescribed by Doctors.Instead of this suggestion, while some people prefer to invest money on vitamin tablets. As far as I am concerned, many people want immediate changes in their health which is why they are taking medications rathern healthy diet.

They are a plethora of reasons for spend a lot of money on vitamin pills. A primary reason they are busy with daily hectic shedules,in other words, in this fast-faced lifestlye not only they rely on processed food, but also instant food and bevarages.

For instance, in India, nowadays younger generation suffering from obesity as sedentary life; furthermore, malnutrition especially children as lack of vitamins and minerals in their meals. Consequently, they are facing with bone deposition, muscle weakness, fatigue, and degenerative problems, and non- communicaional disorders. Since these health issues they want immediate relief so that, they are spending large sums of money on multi-vitamin tablets.

Instead of buying vitamin pills, people should ameliorate their health choices. Firstly, start with balanced diet: Carbohydrates, Fiber, and Protein should be there in food. These elements available in the carrot, meat, nuts, vegetables, and fruiits. Daily they have to keep time for home-cooked food; in addition, before eating Cabrohydrates they should start with vegetable salads. This healthy habit enables them to incredibly stay strong and active. For example, in London, many people consiuous about their health choices: They wake up at dawn then start with simple exercises, stretchings and walk altleast 30 minutes along with sun- expsoure daily. Therefore, this healthy habit make them stay fit, do not want to invest money on unnecessary medication.

In conclusion, many people suffering from malnutrition, and unnecessarily spending money on medications. To address this issue not only governments but also individuals should condem to buy medications. From my point of view,

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for vitamin pill consumption and methods of persuasion. The ideas are relevant, such as the impact of hectic lifestyles and the need for balanced nutrition. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The explanation of why people buy pills is clear, but the suggestions for persuasion are slightly repetitive and lack depth in terms of policy or societal change. The position is generally clear, though the conclusion is a bit abrupt and contains some confusing phrasing. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with more nuanced reasoning rather than just listing examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' and 'in addition,' though some are used mechanically or with slight errors in punctuation (e.g., 'Since these health issues they want...'). The progression of ideas is generally easy to follow, but the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the final paragraph where the link between government action and the condemnation of buying medication is not fully articulated. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two main parts of the prompt.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, with some attempts at less common items like 'ameliorate,' 'sedentary,' and 'degenerative.' However, there are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'shedules,' 'fast-faced,' 'bevarages,' 'non-communicaional,' and 'consiuous.' These errors do not impede communication, but they are noticeable. The range is sufficient to convey the intended meaning, but the lack of precision in collocation and the recurring spelling mistakes prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for common spelling errors would significantly improve the clarity of the writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While there is an attempt at complex grammar, there are frequent errors in sentence construction, such as 'They are a plethora of reasons for spend a lot of money' and 'Since these health issues they want immediate relief.' Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of grammatical slips—such as subject-verb agreement and preposition usage—is high enough to suggest a Band 5.5 level, as these errors occur throughout the text.
