Student answer (Band 5.0)
In contemporary society, there is considerable debate over whether to squander money on vitamins, While many people support the view that it is considerable to take nutrients from tablets. In my view, taking vitamins orally from tablets is not healthy for body . This essay will explain the reasons for my position with relevant examples.
To begin with, I support this viewpoint for several reasons. First and foremost, tablets contains many harmful chemicals. This is particularly important because it can lead to many harmful and lethal risk . As a result, person can suffer from serious deseies in future. Secondly, it take too much time and fuel to make tablets which can further contribute to harm in environment. It contains many products to make these pills which are eventually extracted by nature, due tto which nature also got exploited.
Furthermore, people can take substitute of these pills to natural products For example, taking good amount of vitamin c by oranges, and beeries. Moreover, by eating natural fruits not only they are getting vitamin but also some other essential nutrients such as fibre and carbohydrates which is very important for body-building. Therefore, it is evident that by improving diet can have a significant impact on health and mantal health as well.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that gaining nutrients from fruits and vegatble are more beneficial as compare to pills. Nevertheless, the opposing perspective should not be entirely overlooked, as it is hazard for the health which cause many diseases and health hazard.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt to some extent, discussing reasons why people take vitamin pills and offering alternatives like natural fruits. However, the explanation is somewhat superficial and fails to thoroughly explore how people could be persuaded to improve their diet instead of buying supplements, which is a core part of the task prompt. The position is stated but lacks deeper extension. For instance, the argument regarding environmental harm is introduced in the second paragraph ('it take too much time and fuel to make tablets') but is underdeveloped. Consequently, the task response falls into the Band 5 category as some parts are addressed only partially.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays basic organizational structure with clear paragraphing, including an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Some cohesive devices are used to signal sequence, such as 'To begin with' and 'Furthermore'. However, referencing and transitions are frequently faulty or mechanical. For instance, sentences within the second paragraph jump abruptly from chemical risks to environmental concerns without smooth transitions. Additionally, the conclusion contradicts previous assertions by labeling the opposing perspective as 'a hazard for the health', which disrupts the logical progression of the argument. Therefore, the coherence and cohesion reflect a Band 5 level.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and contains frequent errors in word choice, spelling, and collocation. Examples of lexical errors include 'squander money', 'deseies' for diseases, 'beeries' for berries, 'mantal health' for mental health, and 'vegatble' for vegetables. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary items, inaccurate usage and spelling mistakes (such as 'tto' and 'mantal') cause some difficulty for the reader and impede comprehension in places. These characteristics align closely with the Band 5 descriptor for Lexical Resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty. There are noticeable grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('tablets contains'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing such as 'by improving diet can have a significant impact'. Punctuation is also erratic, with spaces before periods and commas. Although the general meaning can usually be deciphered, frequent errors in grammar and mechanics cause noticeable difficulty for the reader, placing the response firmly at Band 5.
