Taking certain steps could influance poeple to follow healthy diet. First and foremost, health camps and nutrition seminars can help people to understand and incubate the healthy diet in their life style. These campaigns should expline the irons, fiber which are missing from pills and how they can achieve these supplies from healthy food. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt, exploring both why people spend large sums of money on vitamin pills and how they could be persuaded to improve their diet. The student's position is clear throughout the essay. Ideas are extended and supported with relevant examples, such as the mention of a friend's busy work schedule leading to reliance on protein powders and energy pills. While some of the supporting points are slightly generalised, the overall development of ideas satisfies the requirements for Band 7, as all questions posed in the prompt are answered thoroughly and meaningfully.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay displays clear logical organisation and progression throughout. Information and ideas are grouped logically into well-defined paragraphs, with a clear introduction and conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'Taking certain steps' are used effectively to guide the reader through the arguments. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, ensuring that each paragraph has a central topic. Although referencing and minor cohesive transitions could be slightly more polished to reach higher bands, the overall structure maintains clear logical flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses a sufficient range of vocabulary for the task with some flexibility and precision. Phrases such as 'fast moving world', 'dietary gaps', 'one-stop solution', and 'step-by-step meal prep templates' demonstrate an attempt to use less common items and appropriate collocations. However, there are noticeable spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'miricale' instead of 'miracle', 'becuase' instead of 'because', 'convenieance' instead of 'convenience', 'over come' instead of 'overcome', 'dietry' instead of 'dietary', 'suppliments' instead of 'supplements', 'protin' instead of 'protein', 'trand' instead of 'trend', 'peopel' instead of 'people', 'mejority' instead of 'majority', 'helathy' instead of 'healthy', 'qulaity' instead of 'quality', 'idal' instead of 'ideal', 'vitamine' instead of 'vitamin', 'sloution' instead of 'solution', 'vagetables' instead of 'vegetables', 'influance' instead of 'influence', 'poeple' instead of 'people', 'expline' instead of 'explain', 'undestand' instead of 'understand', 'replicate' instead of 'replicated', 'lable' instead of 'label', 'miss-lead' instead of 'mislead', 'nutients' instead of 'nutrients', and 'aveilable' instead of 'available'. These frequent spelling mistakes pull the lexical score down to Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating control over relative clauses and introductory phrases (e.g., 'Nowadays, many people spend mejority of their day time at their workplace; therefore, it become difficult for them...'). However, there are frequent grammatical and punctuation errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'it become difficult', 'vitamine pills becomes', 'campaigns should expline'), missing articles (e.g., 'from having healthy diet'), and awkward phrasing. These errors occasionally cause mild strain for the reader, aligning the response with Band 6.0 descriptors where a mix of structures is present alongside persistent errors.
